We were very lucky - Or I can say we had a very good Goalkeeper.... Or the best thing that I can say is... we are lucky to have Sorrentino... Moderator please delete his trash posts until he can say something of value other than "postoi italoi" (:LOL:) and "p*****des italoi einai" as for the GAME congrats AEK, now hopefully they can finish off Anderlecht in Brussels which is another really challenging match...hopefully AEK can send a few thousand fans up there... AEK surprised me with their smart counterattacks and was able to make some great chances, but a tie would have been a fair result, theres no arguement there....Milan missed some must score opportunities.... Sorrentino was great, defense was great at times but AEK were also VERY lucky not to concede a goal, but countered that by making some great chances of their own like with Lybe and that Cesar shot (that Dida save was incredible!) but most important of all this is a huge win for Greek league to have 2 teams in CL! Thankfully Sorretino stood strong & made some world class stops... if not the game could of easily been 0-3 in the first 35 min... Instead Cesar & 1-0, & the rest is history... Dava-G Posted November 22, 2006 Share Posted November 22, 2006 I am very happy with the result, and I have lost my voice from yelling at my computer screen during the game. Now this morning, I ave a sore throat. HHAhaha I was very happy with our hard working players and the heart we had. Im sure the crowd helped our team thru tired times. We played an interesting counterattack and it was funny to see how we played without a true striker (as Nightsurfer pointed out). My only real worry was Tziortzopolous. He had a REALLY bad game defensively. 2 or the 1v1s that Sorrentino saved were his fault. Another 1 or 2 were almost his fault and his head was not in the game defensively. I hope it was just his nerves or something. Because it was very concerning. Luckily, Ferrer saw this and subbed him out.... Well, now we can truely hold the destiny of our european play in our hands. I was cheering for AEK the whole way through though Inzaghi on a much better day would have take it to 1-1......at least AEK played rigid defesne and put their heart into it....could have also been a tie and fialry ..... great job AEK!!!! :gr: I disagree re file. Its not like they kept hitting the woodwork or scored a goal that should have stood, etc. Sorrentino was in inspired form, simple as that! I mean that's what he's there for, whether its Lybe getting a goal up front or Sorrentino keeping a clean sheet its the same thing! AEK deserved the win, tactically excellent, showed more passion and spirit than I have seen for a long time, possibly ever. AND AEK had chances to extend their lead.
