CSKA Moskow didn't win the UEFA cup without their strong defense and also other major clubs around Europe build specificaly around their defense and then they look into their offense. I believe that Olympiacos needs good defense and they need to do this ASAP. One name that I don't see in your lineup is Schurer. Is he out? Is he not going to return?? I haven't seen anything about him... Also how about Pantos??? He's a young kid with great speed and can keep his own on the field. Now don't get me wrong... I think that what you have here is great BUT we also need one more good signing in the back. Even if it's one of our home grown boys, or an international signing... NYC_Olympiakos Posted July 5, 2005 Share Posted July 5, 2005 for starters take figo oof the list thats for sure he ain't coming here but somebody did make a valid point that we need to work on our defensive line thats they key granted the club at the moment is looking at the offensive areas but we need to stay solid at defense the club does expect alot from Kostulas, Vallas, and Paststagolou in the coming years but they need the playing time as well i also doubt we will get both Davide and Mpenza i have one question when the season ened everybody was saying we were going to get Zairi who plays for Schuax young fast and somebody on the right side but ever happenned to that rumour ? i guess like all the others nuttin at all Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

NYC_Olympiakos Posted July 13, 2005 Share Posted July 13, 2005 thats the one thing i have noticed in this transfer season is the attempt of Olympiakos to build good solid depth which we haven't had for quite some time last season we were hammered with injuries and suspensions well now we ahve good quality replacements to hold the load i think we are starting at the right areas in building the defensive line this will also allow Pastsagolou to start the season smoothly no rush to get him right into form i mean he just came back from a serious injury but again all these possible signings aren't official at the moment now does anybody know much about Sollied formation tactics and how he is during substitutions cause Bajevic didn't do a great job with subs last season Sollied will also have the opportunity to play almost everybody b/c of Olympiakos commitments to basicially 3 competitions i expect to see more of Giannou in goal as well he needs the in game experience now does anybody know wuts going on with Karagounis at the moment??? is he staying with Inter or coming back to Greece?? CH-Thrylos Posted July 14, 2005 Share Posted July 14, 2005 by the way who is dragnuatvic and Bergdolmo???????? dragutinovic: 29, 1.84, serbian. plays in belgium for standart liege. plays as on the left side of the defense. sollied knows him from there.bergdölmo: 33, 1.87, norwegian central defender. he played the last two years for borussia dortmund. i dont know both of them, but IF we are going to get one of these two, i would prefer dragutinovic. we have pantos, georgatos and venetidis who can play on the left side, but venetidis comes from a big injury and georgatos isnt really a defender. as for bergdölmos position i'd say we have enough players with kostoulas, schurrer, kapsis, anatolakis, vallas, kouloucheris and eventually toure.
