  • Blackhawk changed the title to SL1-PO-R6: AEK - PAOK (26.04.23, 21:00 EEST)

Augusto and Taison are questionable after yesterday's game.

After yesterday our only goal in the playoffs left is to be at a minimum 3 points behind Olympiakos in the last round where we play them at home. In that case with a win we will finish in 3rd place.

The thing is can we pick up the pieces and finish the season strong.

Before today's game I thought we would be 6 points behind Olympiakos. We are still only 3 points behind and all wide open for 3rd place.

Just saw the highlights - what a shocking performance. Kotarski at fault for the first goal but without him it would have been more than 4. I have no idea why we signed Kargas, he is not good enough for PAOK. He proved that in the first game of the season against Levski Sofia when he headed the ball backwards and assisted their first goal.

What an unbelievably stupid challenge Kargas decided to make which got him sent off. There is no threat there what so over, the AEK player was on the halfway line, passing back into his own half, with our defence just about fully set. Just why? No reason what so ever to slide in there, and this is a 28 year old who's been playing football for years, not a 19 year-old Koulierakis.

Big picture wise the loss doesn't hurt us, as others have mentioned. Hopefully the players confidence doesn't take too much of a knock from the heavy loss. We beat Aris, Volos, and Olympiakos on the last match-day we should end up 3rd and secure Europa League football regardless of the Cup final result.

Unfortunately Ingason got injured. Hopefully it's not too serious. Without him it will be much tougher.

There re still 4 games left plus the cup final. Need to regroup and hope for the best.
