They have had a terrible pitch since they got promoted about 12 years ago. I don't understand how this hasn't been fixed yet.

This was the same field that there was an uproar over like two seasons ago, right? With the massive sinkholes all over the place. I remember they feigned offense over people trash talking it then as well.

They fixed the pitch about 2 years ago, and at that time it was one of the best in Greece. Probably in top 5 of SL stadiums. The problem though is that what they call a fix is just stripping the old one and laying down a new "carpet". Sadly they never invested in a drainage system (not too many stadiums in Greece do). And if you are in a place like Epirus where it rains a lot, you are in trouble without a drainage system. That's why it is a recurring problem.

So they switched the game to be played in Athens at the Atromitos stadium. Now before each season starts, each team has to disclose a second (alternative) home pitch in case the first pitch is not ready. PAS Giannina's alternate pitch is Kleanthis Vikelidis in Thessaloniki, so I don't understand why the game has been rescheduled to Athens.
