Antaeus7 Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 5 of the Greek clubs will be taking part in UEFA this upcoming season PAOK Thessaloniki - UEFA Champions League 2nd qualifying round (Champions Path) Olympiakos Piraeus - UEFA Champions League 2nd qualifying round (Non-Champions Path) AEK Athens - UEFA Europa League 3rd qualifying round Atromitos Athens - UEFA Europa League 2nd qualifying round Aris Thessaloniki - UEFA Europa League 2nd qualifying round 1
Alphonse Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Let’s hope we get some decent and much needed points 1
pash Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 What is especially important is for Atromitos and Aris to make it to the group stage. The other three should be able to at least hit the EL. Beating up on weaker teams in the EL is probably going to net those two more money than they get out of ticket sales each season.
Dutch Eagle Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 Here one can find all confirmed transfers: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Greek_football_transfers_summer_2019 1
Dutch Eagle Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 The draw for the new season will be on July 2nd.
Dutch Eagle Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 MD 1 of the new SL-season is scheduled for August 24/25/26.
Dutch Eagle Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Rumours say that the season might even start on Friday August 23rd with a match between two teams without a large fanbase. This in order to milk the SL and without having problems of possible clashes.

Soprano76 Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 My predicted top 5 this season: 1. PAOK 2. Olympiakos 3. AEK 4. Atromitos 5. Panathinaikos Relegation favorites: Lamia and Panionios
Alphonse Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 I’m going; 1. PAOK 2. AEK 3. Olympiakos 4. Panathinaikos 5. Xanthi 5th could be a variety of teams, haven’t seen anything from Atromitos & Aris to suggest they will finish their although Atromitos’s defence looks strong 1
Mitsos Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 My pre-playoff top 5 1. PAOK 2. OSFP 3. PAO 4. AEK 5. Aris 1
Dutch Eagle Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 First goal of the season scored by Lazar Romanic (Lamia)!
Soprano76 Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 So far through 3 match days, the attendance is at the highest it has been since the 2009-2010 season. Still very low though.
Antaeus7 Posted January 26, 2020 Author Posted January 26, 2020 So how does the playoffs work? Can anybody fill in for me?
Dutch Eagle Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 Top 6 play eachother again home and away. Points after 26 games won't be cut. So championship will be decided in/after 36 games.
Soprano76 Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 Are there tentative dates for these matches yet? I was hoping to catch a playoff game in Thessa

How many teams get relegated?
Antaeus7 Posted January 27, 2020 Author Posted January 27, 2020 Honestly, I don't like this playoff system. They should just go back to it's traditional way.

One team gets relegated - which looks like Panionios atm, and team that finishes 13th - Panetolikos atm, will play off with no.2 Super League 2 team for promotion - home and away
Alphonse Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 http://hellasfooty.blogspot.com/2020/02/round-26-preview-battle-for-6th-by-greg.html 1
Soprano76 Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 Oly, PAOK, AEK, Panatha, Aris and OFH qualified for the playoffs in that order. Attendance was up about 20% from last season, so that's good. Panionios are most likely to be relegated but I think Panetolikos stays up in the Super League.
