PAOK will play a friendly game against Anorthosis at Toumba on July 21, which is 6 days prior to our first Europa League game. The pre-season friendly schedule is as follows: July 4: AFC Tubize (Proximus League - Belgium 2nd division) July 9: Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine) July12: VVV Venlo (Eredivisie - Holland) July15: Ajax Amsterdam (Eredivisie - Holland) - Amsterdam Arena - The game will be played behind closed doors July21: Anorthosis Famagusta (Cyprus) - Toumba Stadium

Russian media reports that PAOK and Zenit have agreed for Robert Mak to return to PAOK for next season on 1-year loan basis.

Ended up in 4th place. After beating Turkey the team did not show up for the game games against France and Belgium losing by gig margins. At least we qualified for the World Championships.

I always considered him the Tochoroglou of Mexico, but much better keeper. Saw him only in one game at the Confederation Cup, the 2:2 tie against Portugal. He did not do anything special. Not sure if he is worth 1.5 mil. He would be making at least 500K more than Prijovic who is our highest paid player right now. I have a feeling we will end up with Rey from Argentina. Will cost us same money (600K salary, but big fee to his team). Giannulis was loaned for 2 years to Atromitos. Sounds like he might not play for PAOK again.

Agreed. There are quite few already. Don't know what happened to Alexi Pappas and why she is not competing these days. She could really helped us in the middle distance events. I hope she did not become a Greek citizen just to compete in the 2016 Olymoics.

Good move with the two youngsters. Get them out of Greece and hopefully they will work hard to improve, just like Pelkas did in Portugal.

The SL draw is scheduled for July 13 even though as of today we don't know which teams will be taking part yet.

Too bad the timing mechanism failed. She would have been close to breaking the Greek record in the event.

And also thanks to the fact that Russia was not allowed to compete. Otherwise we would be going down as well.

They count, but since both athletes finished dead last they only get 1 point each.

Today we had qualifying rounds in some of the events. Unfortunately we missed qualifying to the finals in men's 400 and 400 meter hurdles, which means we will receive only two points for the standings. Results: MEN 100m: 4. Tsakonas 10.39 (Q) 200m: 1. Tsakonas 20.33 (Q) 400m: 11. Pappas 48.65 (DNQ) 110m Hurdles: 5. Douvalidis 13.54 (Q) 400m Hurdles: 11. Nakos 52.16 (DNQ) WOMEN 100m: 4. Keramids 11.54 (Q) 200m: 4. Belibasaki 23.27 (Q) 400m: 4. Vasiliou 52.52 (Q) 100m Hurdles: 2. Pesiridou 13.03 (Q) 400m Hurdles: 8. Dalaka 58.09 (Q) BTW you can watch live or videos of the competitions here: http://www.european-athletics.org/

We will play France in the semifinals. As a result of making the semifinals the national team secured a spot in the next World Championships.

EPO's court of appeals turned down PAOK's appeal concerning the punishment for the Greek Cup violence. In other words: - 7 games behind closed door - 6 point deduction from current competition - 285,000 Euro fine

The revised pre-season friendly schedule is as follows: July 4: AFC Tubize (Proximus League - Belgium 2nd division) July 8: Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine) July 12: VVV Venlo (Eredivisie - Holland) July 15: Ajax Amsterdam (Eredivisie - Holland) - The game will be played behind closed doors

In Vierinha's case he basically passed the ball to Savvidis. He said he would like him on the team, but somebody (Ivan) needs to pay the price to keep fans happy. In any case with the fact that half of our home games will be without fans (approximate losses around 2 mil Euro) I really don't see Ivan paying the 2.5 mil that Wolfsburg wants to set Vierinha free. As for Pereyra it's pretty much over for him. I think he will just be released from the contract. In other transfer rumors, Antonis will join Sabo, and will not even be given a chance to prove himself. He will be loaned again, if not released all together. Giannoulis will most likely be loaned to Atromitos for the next season. Atromitos has also asked for Chatizisaia loan.

Big win against Turkey which has several naturalized American players on its roster in the quarterfinals 84:55. In the semifinals we will play the winner of France - Slovakia

He will be out for at least 40 days after the surgery on his knee. There is a chance he will miss the world championships as well.

The Greek women's national team is having a very successful European Championships taking place in Czech Republic. In the group stage they defeated heavy favorites Serbia and qualified to the knock out stage of the tournament. Today in the first knockout stage Greece defeated another favorite Russia 62:58 and qualified to the quarterfinals of the tournament, where we will meet Turkey.

Note sure if it is a done deal, but heard on radio that it will indeed be played in Amsterdam Arena.

Dorian Leveque signed 3-year deal. He will be paid approximately 300,000 Euro per season.

Just heard on radio that the coaching staff decided that Charisis will remain with PAOK and will not be loaned out.

Scheduled pre-season friendlies (preliminary information) July 4: AFC Tubize (Proximus League - Belgium 2nd division) July 8: Club Brugge KV (Jupiler League - Belgium 1st Division) July 12: VVV Venlo (Eredivisie - Holland) July 15: Ajax Amsterdam (Eredivisie - Holland) All pre-season games will be televised live in Greeve by Novasport.

The rumors are that we are going for 2 keepers. One starter to replace Glykos and the other as a backup. I hope these rumors are not true. I would bring in one good one to be a starter and have Siabanis and Melissas (returning from loan to Sparti) as backups. I have a feeling if Siabanis will not get any guarantees that he will get some playing time, he will not stick around for much longer.

Filippidis will not travel to Lille due to injury. Patsoukakis will take his place.

Leveque signed for 3 years. Approximate salary (according to radio speculation) is 500K. He hardly played last season due to serious injury. I see him as a backup (or split duties) for Leovac. I think the next big move will be a goalie. Czech press has mentioned Lastuvka as a possible target.
