  1. Well the hearing was last Thursday and the verdict es expected by the end of this week. My prediction is that it will be -3 points, 4 to 6 games in empty Toumba and a a massive monetary fine.
  2. We must not lose to Panionios and win our last two games an we will be ok.
  3. Nothing for the next European season, where the only chance for automatic CL place is if Borussia Dortmund wins the Europa League. It has big effect on the 2017-18 season. Right now we are in 14th place and Czech Republic is in 13th place and Sparta might help increase the already large gap. The way things look right now, it will be almost impossible to crack the top 12 in the standings, which guarantees automatic CL group place in the next 3 to 5 years.
  4. FIFA, after a complaint by EPO, gave Kontonis the Undersecretary of Sports 2 weeks to reverse his decision to cancel the Greek Cup or face disciplinary action. Let's see if Kontonis has the balls to stick with his decision, or we will see a big Comaneci kolotoumba.
  5. Well U-21 already lost to Hungary and Portugal (big time), so any chances of qualifying are probably gone. Other PAOK international call-ups: Dimitiradis - U19 team (Will play in UEFA Euro Qualifying tournament in Spain) Antonis - Australia Sabo, Mak - Slovakia (Friendlies against Latvia and Ireland) Rodrigues - Cape Verde (Africa Nations Cup game against Morocco)
  6. You all better behave. B) BTW welcome to our forum Klaous. Tell us more about yourself. Where do you live and how did you become a PAOK fan?
  7. Ivan didn't even make a proposal. All PAOK did was inquire about the availability of the Karatasiou site. From what I understand it's just a plan B if the refurbished Toumba is not reality.
  8. Charisis and Mystakidis were called up to the U-21 NT, which will play Euro qualifying games against Albania and Israel.
  9. Mayor doesn't really have any say so. The land is owned by the Greek Army.
  10. Here is Google map of the area. It is located at Palos Melas near Stavroupoli. https://www.google.com/maps/@40.6613032,22.9393137,16z?hl=en Here are driving directions from Toumba to Stratopaido Karatasiou. It around 25 minute drive: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Toumba+Stadium,+Mikras+Asias,+Thessaloniki,+Greece/40.6602696,22.9384125/@40.6438398,22.9367169,13z/data=!4m9!4m8!1m5!1m1!1s0x14a838e9616896bd:0x2bba6bdf460e7791!2m2!1d22.9711501!2d40.6132004!1m0!5i1?hl=en
  11. If and when this project gets under way, Syriza will not be in power anymore, but than again it's just gonna be a different corrupted political party taking orders from Germany, so nothing will really change.
  12. PAOK won the appeal against the 1-game ban for the throwing incident in the Atromitos game and the Kalloni game will be played with fans present. Probably the last chance for PAOK fans to see their team this season at Toumba.
  13. That's not really why he was fired. The fact that he could not defeat a team that is already relegated did him in. Also the fact that of the 4-year Savvidis era this season is the lowest so far in point accumulation. Instead of improvement we are seeing further decline, something that should have stopped with the new 3-year plan.
  14. False story created by Metrosport media group to sell papers in my opinion. Gazprom has no reason to invest in Greece, unless the Greek government in Germany agrees to construct an oil pipeline that would bring gas from Russia to Europe.
  15. They are not blocking anything. How can you block something that doesn't even exist.
  16. Your only option I am afraid is even worse quality illegal streams.
  17. This is the area that Savvidis wants to rent for 49 years from the Greek Army. Here is is what Ivan wants to use it for: -
  18. PAE PAOK has officially asked EPO to ban Pappas for life. He is the ref in the Olympiakos cup game. Good luck with that one.
  19. Kitsiou is sitting this one out due to cards. Skondras might take his place. Rodrigues might also be available.
  20. No they can't without being fined, but players can be conveniently injured.
  21. This is supposed to be a new start (rebuilding process) for the NT. Not sure what players such as Tzavellas, Tziolis, Moras are doing on the team. Also, not sure why players with limited talent are being called up either (Siovas, Diamantakos, Pelkas).
  22. Agree. I want PAOK to come out and say no more PAOK players on the NT until the whole thing called Greek soccer is fixed and the games are played fairly.
  23. The hearing is supposed to be this Thursday. That is if the lawyers decide to end their strike. If not it is anybody's guess when that will happen. Let's not also forget that there is a decision that has to be made about AEK and the events in the Atromitos game, and that game was played before the PAOK-Olympiakos game.
  24. I like our chances for making the playoffs. The games we have left are against teams that we can beat, as long as we play like we did against Panaitolikos. Even if we get 6 points deducted, I think we are in. We should easily win our two home games, and then we have an away game against Panionios, which we should try not to lose. Our last game is against Platanias, and they will most likely be out any chances for the playoffs, so it might be a meaningless game for them. If it wasn't for the apparent points deductions, we would most likely increase our distance from the 5th place and actually gained a point for the playoff standings. That might still happen if Panionios does not get a license to play in the playoffs and we have at least a 3 point difference from the 6th placed team.
