There is a slight chance that a second place in the playoffs might lead to the group stage of EL, but for that to happen, AEK would have to win the playoffs and Seville would have to win both the Europa League and the Spanish Cup.

The coaches of U17 team that won the championship, Zazopoulos and Garcia were promoted to the U20 team for next season. As a result of PAOK winning the U17 championship, the U20 team will take part in the UEFA Youth Champions League.

What a ###### bourdello the Superleague (and EPO) and its playoffs have become. Games are rescheduled for depending on which way the wind blows. Now the round 6 of the playoffs will be played on either May 31 or June 1, past the UEFA deadline for EURO based players to join their respective NT teams. This affect PAOK (Mak, Sabo) and Panathinaikos (Berg). Mak and Berg are way too important players for their teams to be missing. Additionally, Greek NT players leave for Australia on June 1st. If I was PAOK, I would not give the ok for the 4 PAOK NT players to join them. It appears that Sport Plus will also be showing the AEK and Panionios playoff home games along with Antenna Satellite/Pacific. The Panathinaikos home games stay exclusively with Antenna and PAOK home games with Laola1.TV.

I have no problem with Tziolis in this game. We will most likely play a defensive game, so he will provide additional defensive help. I see us relying on counters to try an score. The main thing is not to lose on Sunday. Win will be a big bonus. Let's not forget that in our 85 year league history at Leoforos Alexandras we only have 5 wins.

As for Mak, let's not forget that he puts the NT above PAOK. He claimed to be injured and couple days later he played a friendly for his NT. Also, his wife last week posted that in few days the family will leave forever from Greece (whatever that means). However he took part in today's practice, so let's see if he plays on Wednesday. Vitor will also not play Sunday due to injury, but there are constant rumors that he is close to either Red Star or Trabzonspor, so there are possibly other issues in play as well. As for the game itself. Kace got a 3-game ban for his red card, so we have an issue in midfield. He would have been a great tool in this game. I also expect Chatziisaias to play instead of Malezas, who was quite poor against AEK. I don't think it has to do with the refs. I think he is not happy with the contract offer we made him and also the fact that he puts the NT over his club. We shall see. If he still has a fever going into the Panionios game, than I think there is something fishy going on.

PAOK won he appeal and now will have fans available for the last playoff game at Toumba against Panathinaikos.

Mak came out today and said that he will most likely not play in this game due to his alleged 4-day cold. Sounds quite questionable to me. I think he wants to join his NT, which starts EURO training on May 19, before the playoffs finish. I have a feeling we will not see Mak in PAOK jersey again. Vitor is also questionable, and Kace has a red card ban.

PAOK U17 team is right now playing Atromitos in the semifinal of the U17 championship. The game is taking place in Peristeri. If we win we will play Xanthi in the final. Xanthi defeated Olympiakos in the other semifinal.
