  1. Not a big loss in my opinion. Mediocre player. Don't understand why he gets called for the NT. Apparently the game will be played on Wednesday, even though there were threats that EPO would not assign refs for the playoff games. I guess they changed their mind after fearing various legal issues if the playoffs are not played. Also all PAOK players (except for Konstantinidis) are taking part in regular practice sessions and are available for the game. I doubt though that Leovac and Berbatov will see any action in this game.

  3. Still think Grexit would have been the best way to fix the Greek soccer.
  4. Kseftila continues. Kontonis after police intervention postponed the Greek Cup Final. This also puts the Superleague playoffs in doubt.
  5. No TV for the Greek Cup final since it was postponed again. (Kseftila continues)
  6. There is a possibility that the playoffs will be cancelled by EPO following the postponement of the Greek Cup final.
  7. Apparently Matos is allready signed up. Official announcements to be made after the playoffs. He is able to play as RB and LB and even as a RM. With that in mind, I think some of our right backs will bid us goodbye. My money is on Skondras and Konstantinidis.
  8. The complete Superleague Playoffs television schedule is out. Check out the details on my TV page: http://home.earthlink.net/~cigi60/GreekSoccerTVSchedules.htm Of interest is the fact that Sport Plus will not show any games in USA, Canada and Australia, since 3 of the 4 teams in the playoffs are "Antenna teams". PAOK home games will be televised live on Laola1.TV as usual.
  9. Back on topic. ERT will show the final on two hour delay at 22:30 Greek Time.
  10. Pablo Contreras came to Thesaloniki today. Apparently he suggested to PAE PAOK the following Colo Colo Santiago players: Paolo Guarces (31) - goalkeeper Claudio Baeza (22) - defensive midfielder Rafael Caroca (26) - defensive midfielder They sound like players that Levadeiakos or Asteras Tripoli would sign.
  11. The Greek Cup game between AEK and Olympiakos on Saturday will be televised live on OTE Sport TV in Greece, and possibly with a half an hour delay on ERT 1. Outside of Greece, it will be televised live on Antenna Satellie (USA, Canada) and Antenna Pacific (Australia). You can catch a live stream on Laola1.TV Kick-off time is 20:30 Greek Time. Sure will be weird to watch the second biggest competition in Greece in an empty stadium. What a kseftila. More details on my TV page: http://home.earthlink.net/~cigi60/GreekSoccerTVSchedules.htm
  12. PAOK - OFC Pirin 3:0 in a friendly game. Mak, Athanasiadi, Tzavellas the scorers. All players except Berbatov and Leovac got playing time.
  13. As far as I know 3rd division games are not televised. There might be a stream arranged by a local media outlet, but that is not guaranteed. According to the EPO, which runs 3rd Division both teams have 62 points. Can't get any more official than that. Also, the non-TV discussion should be moved to the appropriate forum.
  14. AEK has not impressed me much so far. Specially by the end of the season. Panathinaikos as usual is getting into a good form by playoff time. The big unknown is Panionios. They will cut some points from everybody.
  15. The multiple talents of Kostantis Pistiolis:
  16. I guarantee we will do much better than last year. Can't really do any worse. My prediction is that we will battle with PAO for the first place in the playoffs. The only thing that worries me is empty Toumba.
  17. ERT World has begun airing regular programming via the Hot Bird satellite in Europe today. Here are the first minutes of the broadcast:
  18. I think almost everyone, including Berbatov, will be ready when the playoffs start (May 11).
  19. Next Wednesday we will play a friendly against the Bulgarian side Pirin Blagoevgrad. The game will be played behind closed doors at Toumba.
  20. That's bullshit. There should have been regular hearing because there could have been many reasons why the team did not show up. The funny thing is how they had the decision ready immediately right the next day. I wish EPO would be this quick in other matters. However this matter is probably not over. According Live Sport newspaper, a "Special Football Prosecutor" (whatever the F*** that is) is looking to see if the team can be prosecuted for the "defamation of the sport" and punished accordingly. The fines apparently are heavy fines, and/or expulsion from all the official competitions. So far this is just a rumor by Live Sport. Not sure who controls this newspaper, so it could just be some media BS. In any case the team expected the punishment that's in the EPO by-laws (-3 points and fine) and they sacrificed that. Also they did not announce their intentions prior to the game, so now they can claim all kinds of excuses why they did not show up for the game, if EPO and the "Football Prosecutor King" decides to push the matter any further. Also they did not announce their intentions prior to the game, so now they can claim that they missed the plane.
