  1. Did not see the game, but by all accounts we did not show up and gifted the 3 points to AEK. Unless we win Wednesday against Panathinaikos, the playoffs are over for PAOK. it really makes no difference if we finish 2nd, 3rd or 4th. The only thing that matters is winning the playoffs and another chance with little luck to rea ch our dream of CL group stage.
  2. That's also a possibility. Ivic needs to look forward to the game on Wednesday as well, where I think he will try and plays more defensive game. The main thing this Sunday is to win the game at any cost.
  3. I think he will start Henrique as a reward for the winning goal in the cup. Biseswar has not been training with the team for the past 2 days, but is supposed to be back at practice tomorrow. Hopefully he'll be ready.

  5. The Panionios game is on the 21st, but the case will be heard on the 18th, and there has to 5 days window for the fines to be implemented.
  6. POK through their media mouthpieces is pushing for point deductions along with monetary fines and closed stadiums for the cup trouble. The case will be heard next Thursday, which means we will have fans for the game against Panionios. Looks like only against Panathinaikos in our last playoff game we will be without fans. By that time I am hoping we will have the 1st place all secured.
  7. My lineup for the game: ---------------- Glykos ----------------- Matos - Varela - Crespo - Leovac ------- Canas ------- Cimirot -------- Campos --- Biseswar --- Henrique --------------- Prijovic ----------------
  8. He will end up at Olympiakos once Marinakis gets control of Nottingham.
  9. I would hope for this game the Toumba will be full. After all we won a title after 14 years. Does not happen every day. It may even be the last game with fans for this season depending on the upcoming cup final punishment. I don't think there will fan trouble. Not unless Kalogeropoulos pretends to be Pappas or Spathas. As for Matos he needs to be very careful. Not only getting a red, but he is sitting on 5 yellow cards (Crespo and Malezas as well) and with yellows he will have to sit out 2 games in the playoffs.
  10. We have a better team and deeper roster than all the other three teams in the competition. Like you said pash we will be targeted. I even dare to predict that Matos will be a player that will be red carded during the playoffs. We need to beat AEK and if possible convincingly to send a message that we are serious. Panionios was a tough team during the regular season, but they are just happy that they will play in Europe, so I see them selling out to the highest bidders. We'll see their intentions in their game against Panathinaikos. I predict a clear win by PAO.
  11. Two Athenian officials were assigned for this game. Kalogerolpoulos, AEK's pet ref as the main official and the linesman Karatzikas. Considering the events of the cup final, I expect AEK to get preferential treatment by the refs. The team needs to be focused and show to play. if we play to our potential, the win is ours. And if we win, we basically prevent AEK from thinking of winning the playoffs. I the other game a expect an easy win for Panathinaikos.
  12. On a more lighthearted note, Hitler weights in on the cup won by PAOK over the weekend:
  13. Agreed, but the problem is that nobody in Greece wants to fix this problem. Unfortunately such violence is a tool by team owners and government official (actually they are the same entity) in order hide their incompetence in running a democratic country.
  14. What app are you using on your android box for the Greek channels?
  15. Pouggouras is higher on the pecking order than Chatziisaias. I believe Chatziisaias will be history after this season. After the cup final Michel said that there will be 3 to 4 transfers during the summer.
  16. True, but it would have been a non-factor and would spare us the Athenian media hysteria if right before the goal the ref would call a penalty on Crespo. Clear take down in the box which would have resulted in a penalty kick and second yellow to the AEK player. Spare us the organized media hysteria ever since we destroyed Panathinaikos in the semis. All of a sudden the POK established in 1929 is alive and well.
  17. Why are you keepeng out AEK from the point deduction scenario? Did they not start the trouble? No, there should not be point deductions for PAOK or AEK. The rules do not provide for point deductions for fan trouble that occur when the two teams are not even present at the stadium. Additionally, Olympiakos was going to get punished because officers of the game were attacked during or after the game. Fines clearly spelled out in the rule books, but not administered. Not only that they got reduced on appeal. Now, the crowd trouble was disgusting, and the teams should be punished for giving out tickets to those fans. I think the fault is with EPO and the police that supposedly had everyone entering the stadium go through security checks. Also the police left the bridge connecting both fan bases without the police blocking it. Now how stupid can they be. Specially when exactly the same thing happened few years back in a game between Olympiakos Volos and PAOK. Believe me there were others that were very happy to see these incident take place, and they use to their benefit with media propaganda. What should be investigated is how those hooligans managed to get those items into the stadium. But this has been happening in Greek stadiums for years and nothing has ever been done about it. Nobody apparently wants a solution to this problem.

  19. Win against AEK at home and then not lose against Panathinaikos away, and we make a big step to win the playoffs again. I just hope our players come out focused on Sunday.
  20. Which according to the rules of the competitions they should. Not only did Olympiakos not get punished according to the rule books, today the initial punishment was reduced from 4 games to 1 game behind closed doors and the fine was cut in half. It's exactly this selective punishments that is holding any progress of the sport in Greece.
  21. I think Alafouzos has the controlling majority of shares in Sport FM.
  22. This current season was scheduled to start August 20, but eventually started with Round 3 sometimes in September. Expect something similar with the new season.
  23. Who cares. That should erase some of the injustices from past. Game is not over yet.
