  1. In my case our IP department will not be very happy if I start installing a VPN (or Opera browser) on the company computer. Looks like radio for me on this one. I wonder what company owns the rights to this game in the US, Canada, Netherlands and UK that prevents us from seeing it on PAOK TV. beIN Sports will show the game in some countries of Middle East and Africa. Also TV Sport in Norway. Also heard that the obnoxious Stavros Kolkas will do the commentary on the PAOK TV broadcast.
  2. El Kaddouri who has been one of our best players so far in the preseason games is once again injured. He has not practiced with the team today and will probably miss tomorrow's game.
  3. Remains to be seen as it will most likely depend on who we sign with for the rights in Greece. I still don't understand why they won't show the pre-season games outside of Greece, Cyprus and Albania.
  4. This past Friday was the date when PAOK and ERT were supposed sign the 3-year deal. Instead ERT came out with an announcement that a decision will be made after the elections if the offers to PAOK and surprisingly AEX an d OFI will be accepted. AEX still has a 1 year left with NOVA, so their move to go to ERT has probably to do with the efforts of Olympiakos and their puppets to deny PAOK the ERT contract that would pay PAOK more than they make with their current deal. Considering that ERT will now be controlled by the new government I expect them to make things difficult for PAOK to sign with ERT. Let's not forget these are the same people that closed down ERT in 2013.
  5. Next game is tomorrow against PEC Zwolle at 20:00 GR. Once again it will be televised by PAOK TV for people in Greece, Cyprus and Albania.
  6. You might be right, but I don't see that happening. This (as well as the Zivkovic signing) was a strictly move to keep Lucescu happy. I see him being loaned left and right until his contract expires.
  7. Email from all of us to PAOK front office is in order.
  8. NOVA reportedly did not match ERT's offer of 7.5 mil Euro per season and the only thing remaining is for PAOK and ERT to sign the 3-year contract for the Superleague1 home games.
  9. Canas reported got 1 mil for two years. Basically what PAOK was paying him.
  10. First pre season game today against Alkmaar. PAOK TV will show it, but in Greece, Cyprus and Albania only.
  11. Good choice with Ferreira IMHO. Predicted here first to borrow a line from the sleazy Greek press. At least we did not end up with someone like Ouzounidis. Would not mind having Garcia as assistant coach so the coaching staff would have some perspective on Greek soccer.
  12. My hunch is that we will end up with a Portuguese coach. And I am not talking about Santos, although I would not say no to him. Listening to some radio stations where they are claiming that Lucescu was against all the transfers that Branco was bringing (Rodrigo, Douglas, Stoch), and that he was insisting on keeping Shakhov and Canas instead.
  13. Latest reports are that the Arabs are giving him $4 mil per season.
  14. Like I said, I think the reason he left is not the money from Saudi Arabia. There is more to it than that. If I was Ivan I would assign Pablo Garcia as interim coach to start the training in Holland and then make him assistant coach when we find Lucescu's replacement. The problem is that Lucescu's full team of assistants are leaving as well (I heard even Konstantinidis). It will be tough to find replacements in the next 2 days. This was big "p*****a" by Lucescu. He should have left in May after winning the double.
  15. Al Hilal offered him a contract for 7 mil. They will also pay PAOK 2 mil due to the buyout clause in his contract. This came at the worst possible time. Only two days before travelling to Holland for training. I am assuming that Garcia will take the team to Holland before a new coach is found. I believe there is more to this than the fabulous contract he got from Saudi Arabia. Can you imagine the two players coming tonight to Thessaloniki? They got on a plane knowing that Lucescu was the coach, and when they get to Thessaloniki they will find no coach. And how about the players that came to PAOK only because of Lucescu (Zivkovic, Meliopoulos)?
  16. Razvan Lucescu is history. Today he informed Ivan Savvidis that he accepted a coaching position in Saudi Arabia. PAOK is looking for a new coach.
  17. Apparently Lyratzis and Mystakidis will be loaned to Volos as well.
  18. Also as far as Stoch is concerned, I was reading few Czech sites today, and once again found out why Greek media can't be trusted. Every Greek site was saying that we are just going to pay the 1.5 mil buyout option to Slavia. Reading the Czech media I found out that Stoch does not have a buy out clause in his contract and the transfer happening mostly depends on the wishes of the player and if he wants to move on. The same source (GM of Slavia) also said that the two teams are talking about the transfer and that price is closer to 1 mil, which is almost the same as Slavia paid Fenerbahce for the player.
  19. Nobody is saying that Stoch is a saint, but from what I heard he got the "bad reputation" from one incident at Markiz, when somebody saw him throwing up in the bathroom and then that person was spreading what he saw on the various radio shows (Raptopoulos, etc.), and in the process failing to also disclose that it was Stoch's birthday when the incident took place and that it was at a time when he did not have team obligations. It would be different if he was at bars everyday late night boozing it up, which I doubt was the case.
  20. The other 3 in the picture are the various agents that will get piece of the pie from the transfer fees. That's why they are all smiling.
  21. If the rumored allegations are true, than he will have a tough time in jail.
  22. This guy will one day end up in jail. I think very soon we will be discussing Warda in the ex-PAOK Players section.
