  1. Wague and Colak were added by PAOK to European list of players for the Krasnodar games. This means that they are officially PAOK players even though they have not been announced yet. To make room for them Jaba was taken off the list. Since they did not travel with the team to Krasnodar, they will not play tomorrow, but will be available for the return match.
  2. Yianko I agree 100% with you. If Matos and/or Vierinha played against Atromitos we would have had a better chance of winning the game. Players like will be very useful in such games where we will struggle to break the school bus defense. It's nice to see youngster get a chance to play, but when you are in a game which is tied 1:1 at home and you need to win, throwing in players that have not played an official SL game such as Koutsias and Vrakas will usually not do the trick.
  3. Where did I praise Krasnodar? I just pointed out that they scored 7 goals in their league game. If anything else that tells me that they have a good set of offensive players. Krasnodar is currently a better team than PAOK. Just the simple fact that their UEFA coefficient is 35.000 and PAOK's is 21.000 should tell you that. They are the favorites to win the series. If we play like we did with Benfica we have a chance to get a result that will give us the chance to eliminate them at Toumba.
  4. More and more I am gaining respect for the coach. Team comes first.
  5. Colak deal is done. Four year contract, and around 450K in salary. We paid 3 mil to Rijeka. They get to keep 15% in resale. Wague loan is probably almost as good as done since he too travelled to Thessaloniki. Apparently we are still negotiating the buyout option. Originally there wasn't going to be one. As for Matos, he is one of my favorite players on the team and I am disappointed that he is leaving. It's quite simple. Farreira convinced the front office to get rid of those players. Even if they stayed he has no intentions of playing them.
  6. It's TUDNxtra and CBS All Access in the US and Optus Sport in Australia as far as TV coverage is concerned.
  7. Krasnodar beat Khimki 7:2 in their league game today. Looks like they have the fire power. I think our defense will have to perform as good if not better as they did against Benfica. A 1:1 tie would be great a result, but I don't see it.
  8. Possibly but today's rumor is that our plan B player asked for extra time and we are revisiting the Colak option.
  9. In the meantime Krasnodar is winning 6:2 in their league game.
  10. I only saw the first 30 minutes and listened to the rest in the car. Sounds like Ferreira used this game as an experiment to give new players playing time.
  11. Why would anyone listen to the station that is financed by Olympiakos? Biggest anti-PAOK station in Thessaloniki. I listened to the game on Radio Primo driving down to the University of Chicago.
  12. Besides PAOK TV, anybody in the USA, Canada and Australia can watch the game on Sport Plus channel as well.
  13. The Colak transfer is apparently not happening. Reports (rumors) say we are waiting for an answer from another player.
  14. Don't see this happening anytime soon. Too busy with transfers.
  15. Jaba nad Matos off again. Bye bye ...
  16. Doubt it. He's never been taken off the PAOK roster on the PAE PAOK web site official roster list . I think they are keeping him there until the transfer period ends and then they'll take him off (if he does not sign) Jaba and Matos were left off the squad for the Atromitos game. I expect Matos to be se free and Jaba to be loaned out.
  17. I suppose as a shareholder you should be able to attend and ask questions at the annual shareholders meeting. I would also think that some sort of revenue report with should be available to the public on an annual basis. Here in the US it is required by law. Not sure about Greece though.
  18. He was making around 300K with a 10 mil buyout option.
  19. Current rumors and fake news: - Giannoulis will sign a new 3-year deal without buyout option. Salary: 500K per season - The Akpon replacement is apparently in Thessaloniki and will be announced tomorrow. Rumors are it's Colak from Rijeka. Rijeka wants 5 mil but PAOK is giving 3.5 mil plus large resale option. If things fail with Rijeka we have Ponse (ex-AEX player) on standby. - Paschalakis will be sold for 1.5 mil' - we are close to signing a right back sooner than later
  20. Let's not forget Arsenal had 40% ownership of Akpom, so unless the deal is structured differently between PAOK, Arsenal and Middlesbrough, out of the 3 mil PAOK will get 1.8 mil and Arsenal 1.2 mil. Not that good of a deal in my opinion, but since we let his contract linger without renewing it last season, our negotiation position was not the best. Akpom's high-lite at PAOK for me is the Greek Cup winning goal against AEX. Good luck Chuba.
  21. I had no problem with Open TV. Saw both games without any issues. Too bad we won't have that option from now on going forward.

  23. This 2:1 win against Benfica just put 5 mil Euro in PAOK's bank account. Hopefully this means some good player acquisitions.
  24. Huge win! With a little luck against Krasnodar we can make it to the group stage.
