  1. Greekaroos, the only way Greece can finish first place is to win out all of our 4 matches and hope Bosnia hold Belgium to a draw.
  2. My 2 cents : Greece should have won What the hell did Mantalos missed ? No excuse to miss a sitter like that. The draw means Greece missed an opportunity for first place. I guess playoffs is in our sights.
  3. Thank you, that is what I was thinking! BTW, 4.90m would be the new Greek outdoor record. Her best was 4.86m.
  4. She failed on all 3 attempts, I honestly wanted her to break the record, but she is not ready to jump over 5 m.
  5. Breaking news : Ekaterini Stefanidi is going for a world record of 5.07. She failed on all 3 attempts :(
  6. No, she is going for the World record at 5.07!!! OMG, PLEASE DO IT!
  7. Stefanidi wins the Rome event (16 points total) after 2 meetings. Now she is going to attempt to break the national outdoor record at 4.91.
  8. Very disappointing finish for Papachristou as she finished 10th (13.67) in the meeting. She couldn't advance beyond 3 attempted jumps.
  9. Bosnia have gotten the better of us in the last 4 years, haven't beaten them since November 2006 in Zenica where Greece won 4-0.
  10. Greece's midfield isn't the main strength They do have 1 player who can be a difference maker in dictating the game in that position. Kostas Fortounis If he does something special in this match, Greece have a very good chance to win.
  11. Next Diamond League meeting will be held in Rome. Paraskevi Papachristou will be competing in the women's triple jump with 10 other participants. Of course, Ekaterini Stefanidi will be too.
  12. I hope not, cause that will miss out an opportunity for first place. Belgium will beat Estonia and Gibraltar before the September 3rd match in Piraeus. That will be the one where Greece can play for first place.
  13. Oh, one of those mobile streaming channels. Well, in a big game like this one, I suppose I will give it a go and pay what is necessary. :D
  14. Another disappointing finish for Filippidis, 6th place (3 points).
  15. Eugene, Oregon is the next destination for the IAAF Diamond League. Kostas Filippidis will be in the men's pole vault event. They will show the events on NBC.
  16. I was thinking 2-0 Greece wins. Your right ausgreek, 3 of the 4 suspended players will not be missed. Greece can replace those players in a heartbeat.
  17. Greece would need to improve their midfield.
