  1. Sadly, Anna Kafia just missed the finals by 0.02 seconds. Krima!
  2. Athanasios Kalakos won the semifinal heat in stunning fashion to break the U 20 national record at 1:48.59. He will be in lane 8 tomorrow for a chance at a medal.
  3. Thanks for the info on Karalis, I didn't exactly WATCHED the event, instead I was following the information on the results instead.
  4. Gold medal for Miltiadis Tentoglou! He was killing it in the competition! Finished with a jump at 8.07.
  5. First medal in the under 20 European Championship for Greece goes to Odisseas Mouzenidis in men's shot put and it's bronze. He broke the Under 20 national record with a throw of 20.67. He was 8 centimeters short of breaking the Greek national record (20.74).
  6. Very shocked and disbelieve that Emmanouil Karalis has been eliminated from the qualifying round without a single mark. I had high hopes he was going to medal like he was before. :(
  7. Good news for some Greek runners Anna Kafia in the 400m hurdle won her heat with a time of 59.48 to go to the semifinals. Athanasios Kalakos in the 800 m finished 2nd in the heat with a time of 1:52:55 to go the semifinals. Yesterday in the 1500 m, Giorgios-Panagiotis Miliaras qualified for the finals finishing with a time of 3:48:88.
  8. Giorgios Korakidis from men's hammer throw qualifies through with a throw of 72.85. He might have a shot at a medal if he throws better than 73 meters.
  9. Maccabi Tel-Aviv would be Panionios next opponent. Gabala gets Panathinaikos again. lol
  10. I just read the lineup for Panionios, and seriously they have a Cameroonian player name YAYA BANANA. LOL!!!!
  11. Odisseas Mouzenidis broke the national record for the under 20 with an impressive toss of 20.04 m to qualify for the finals.
  12. Greek-Serbian tie will be interesting Don't know much about Partizan Belgrade on how good they are.
  13. In the Under 20 European Championship in Grosseto, Italy Miltiadis Tentoglou and Emmanouil Karalis are heavy favorites to medal for Greece. The rest? I wish them the best.
  14. Either way Panathinaikos will have to perform at their best if they want to advance past the 3rd round.
  15. Panionios should qualify for the 3rd round, afterwards it will get tougher.
  16. It's a tough draw, Ukrainian clubs have been giving fits to Greek clubs in recent years.
  17. That's a killer, at least AEK Athens should focus on qualifying for the Europa League.
  18. No ties are easy as we learn this lesson from last year.
  19. Paraskevi Papachristou finished 3rd in the Rabat Diamond League with a jump at 14.21 to earn 6 points.
  20. Polak finished 11th in women's pole vault. Korosidou finished 7th in women's hammer throw. Skarvelis finished 9th in women's shot put.
  21. Silver medal for Ioannis Kyriazis! I am still very happy consider the circumstance he was going through early in the competition. It is the very first medal for him at any level and their will be more to come.
  22. Facing elimination, Ioannis Kyriazis answered the bell with a huge throw at 79.91 to put him in silver medal position.
  23. Today, 4 Greek athletes competing in field event finals for a chance at the medals Ioannis Kyriazis given the greatest chance. Iliana Korosidis might have a shot if she throws way better than her personal best at 66.68m. Both Eleni Polak and Stamatia Skarvelis don't have much of a chance, but hopefully give us a good showing.
  24. Theodora Arabatzi qualifies with her personal best at 54.79m. She will be just two Greek athletes competing tomorrow with Zaharias Tsamoudakis in the 20k race walk.
