Well, good to see we rallied after the goal by Asteras. Hopefully we don't start the second half cold.
-
Thanks. I had no idea what happened. The world makes sense again.

Aw, cuddles for Matos from the linesman.
-
His form has been very very good the last couple of months.
-
Ha ha, Matos going for everything.

About time one of those cut-backs worked!

Also this one http://www.vipleague.co/football/451351/1/paok-vs-asteras-tripolis-stream.html which is 1 minute ahead.

I actually like the group format. For the small teams it's a 100% chance to play a "big" team so for them it's a boon and for the big teams it's a chance to give players who don't get any or little game time some minutes on the pitch.

pash wishes he lived in Australia ...

I watch it occasionally. I love how rowdy the crowd gets. And having the players walk in with two "babes", so cheesy, it's awesome ha ha.

If they're terrorists they're not very clever. These are people who got on packed, overcrowded rickety boats knowing that the policy of the Australian Government was to detain them on Manus Island or Naura indefinitely. I guess they were hoping that eventually the Australian Government would either quietly let them into Australia or just give up as it's a humanitarian issue. Hasn't worked out that way. It's a political hot potato in Australia as any government that "gives up" and grants them residency will be seen as weak. They've been stuck in limbo on those islands for years. I can't see how a terrorist would have a "master" plan that can only be performed at some unknown date. If the terrorist knew anything of the political situation in Australia he'd know 100% that he'd be in the camp for a long time, possibly years. So this plan would require the Australian Government to relent (political death) and let them in. Already a bad plan and unlikely to happen. But to make it worse ASIO would have years to investigate the people in these camps so this terrorist would have to hope he/she isn't discovered either. Doesn't sound like much of a plan. Maybe it's more likely the people are refugees who rolled the dice and it didn't work out for them.

Nasty! I'm interested to see how we match up against them. We've been playing really well recently, and it shows with 11 wins in the last 12 games. But this will be a good test of where the team is at.
-
Asteras are below par by their standards of recent years. Their away record is quite awful at 1 win - 1 draw - 7 losses. Now that I've said that and got it out of the way I'm sure I've just cursed the team.

Great hustle by Mystakidis on that goal. The centre of the pitch does seem to suit him better.

@Amorgos @ThrylosG7 it could be the Telstra network here in Australia. My mobile phone (cell phone for you yankees) wasn't able to receive or make calls today for a couple of hours. Apparently the Telstra network is going ... drumroll ... bananas. Also read that mobile sms text messages have been going to random people, ha ha.

Seems about the same to me. I don't notice it being slower. Maybe your PC is doing some work in the background, a virus scan or something ?

How the mighty have fallen.

Ah yes, I forgot about Warda, ha ha. Yep, it will be interesting to see what he can bring to the table. He's been used a couple of times off the bench during the African Cup of Nations so he's at least got some match fitness.

Milivojevic was in my opinion, hands down the general in the midfield for Olympiacos. I hope he does well in England. It'll be interesting to see how he goes. It will also be interesting to see who Bento has in mind to replace him ie. will he start using Cambiasso or one of the young Greek players ?
-
Milivojevic has been sold by Olympiakos to Crystal Palace for a reported 15 million euros. He's definitely their best midfielder this season and I've always rated him. It will be interesting to see how Olympiakos go without him.

They are just different. It depends on the game. If you're expecting to have more possession Pelkas is probably the better pick. He's more technical and is more likely to play that through ball. Mystakidis is more physically robust and is the type of player who will force or make a goal through sheer effort and running. If you're playing a team who you expect to have more of the ball, Pelkas will disappear as he's not good at hustling to win the ball. He doesn't throw his body into the battle. Mystakidis does. One is not better the other, they are different and a proper manager will use them appropriately.

And Djalma out for a few weeks https://inpaok.com/336570/χάνει-τον-τζάλμα-ο-παοκ/ and might be ready for the Schalke game. Good opportunity for Mystakidis to get some game time and hopefully give Ivic some serious selection dilemmas. Seriously, the team finally gets on a good run and we get two injuries in one week. Let's hope Henrique is the real deal.
