After suffering their first defeat of the season and drawing against PAOK, Aris are back at it on Sunday against Asteras. This will be another difficult game as our opponents are a good and experienced team that gave the three top teams in Greece fits in the first three games of the season. I'm thinking it will end in a tie but any result is possible here, Aris will control the game but as we have seen our players are prone to mistakes when pressured and this scares me especially since the midfielders are a slow bunch. Not having Gama will hurt given that he can create on his own and other than Garcia we have no one else that could do it. On the other hand it is an opportunity to see the character & depth of the team.

Didn't watch the game, I think the result serves both teams well.

In my opinion this match up is far more important to Aris than it is to PAOK. Aris has been irrelevant for a long time and a positive result in this game, even a good performance that still ends in a loss, will help the psyche of the players, the fanbase and will really make the rest of the league pay attention. As great as the start to the season has been the team still needs that big result that will give everyone an ego boost and this could be it.

Allaboutaris was extremely accurate this summer with the transfers, I think Tsaltidis has some kind of in with the team. For what it's worth I really do not like him but he was in the know this summer.

I read today that the officials in the PAOK-AEK game this coming weekend will not be Greek, what a sad and shameful move by those in charge. There is not a league worldwide in any sport that has perfect referees, they are human and make mistakes, deal with it!!!! In Greece though referee errors are not coincidental, unless of course they are in favor of the team one supports.

Scoreless draw is my prediction once again. Our opponents have started the season with 3 road games, two of which were against AEK and OSFP, so they should be very excited to finally get a home game. This will no doubt be Aris most difficult game to date and the overall team focus needs to be heightened. I don't believe our coach will make changes to the starting 11 yet but if it does happen I'm guessing it will be Siopis for Matillia.

Another win, another shut out. I believe today's opponent was much better than the previous two.

Don't forget that Menendez was recently nursing an injury so he might not be ready. If recent articles about Paco thinking of playing Colazo as a left fullback to get him in games hold any truth, we might see him out there on Monday.

I have no choice but to predict a scoreless draw since it has been working. With all the excitement after a great start anything other than a victory will be disappointing. Our opponents gave OSFP a tough time the first week of the season, playing on the road, so I think it's fair to say they will sit back and try to hit us on the counter. It will be surprising if Paco makes any changes to the starting line-up Monday evening.

I should be working Chris but what's wrong with a little pleasure, only during victories? The picture quality is not bad at all, but the quality on the pitch coming from the yellow and black attack is phenomenal!!! Fans will watch games on Sunday evenings regardless but on Monday you need a draw to increase your ratings and Aris fits the bill. You can't schedule the big three because of European responsibilities, PAO is not attractive right now so that leaves Aris, popular enough and not bad on the eyes either. I'm sure ERT can have some influence on the schedule.

The next game has been scheduled for Monday the 17th. I have a feeling, assuming ERT has any say so in it, that Aris will play many games on Monday's for ratings purposes. This is great for me cause I can watch them at work.

I think the main difference between the two games was AEL's high press which kept Aris from creating any meaningful attacks in the middle part of the first half. The second half was very similar to the Lamia game in that 80% of the match was played on our opponents side. Neither Lamia or AEL had players with exceptional skill or speed that caused our defense any headaches. I am very impressed with Aris but am curious to see us compete against teams with better quality.

I did not watch the game, plan on catching a replay on Ert, but not a bad way to start the season. The break does not come at a good time for Aris given the momentum and the high the team is on. The best part of the start is the fanbase getting excited again.

Barring self destruction, PAOK should advance.

I think it's fair to say that Bayern will finish first and the rest is wide open. In fairness the only team I have watched is Benfica a bit against PAOK and Fener in the previous round and was not all that impressed, PAOK gave the game away yesterday. I trust AEK are on the same level as PAOK and although AJAX has tremendous name recognition they are nowhere near as powerful as they used to be. Good luck in the CL group stage.

After a great road victory to start the new season Aris will host AEL, the venue has yet to be determined as it appears the playing surface at Vikelidis is not ready yet. I am going to predict a scoreless draw since the last I did this Aris won the game. Both teams got road victories to open the 2018-19 season and played to a 1-1 tie in a friendly about 3 weeks ago. AEL will be without the services of their captain Moras which can't be a good thing given he is the veteran leader of their defense, hopefully the Aris impressive attack can take advantage of this. I don't think Herrera will change anything I just hope not wanting to disappoint the fans will weigh heavy on the players.

What a great start to the season!! I was very impressed with the quality on this team although I will remain reserved in judgement because it's only the first game and I have no idea how the rest of the league compares to Lamia. I can say without hesitation that in Aris previous run (Koke years) the team did not have players that can break down defenses like Garcia and Gama. If I'm not mistaken we are currently in 1st place.

After what seems like a decade Aris will finally play a top flight game in the Greek League. I'm really not sure what to expect since I know nothing about Lamia so I'll use the Aris preseason matchups as my guide and predict this game will end in a scoreless draw.

Aris will begin S.L. play on Monday the 27th of August at Lamia (21:30) followed by a game on Sunday September 2nd at home against A.E.L (19:15).

Everyone was complaining about the condition of the field, Nazlidi went as far as to say that it's a good thing nobody got hurt. I can't help but ask, why play on it if the damn thing isn't ready yet?

I think 3 teams will be relegated this year and one will be promoted dropping the SL to 14 teams next year.
