Good first half for Aris and a well deserved lead. I've been in favor of Hazma playing but he does not fit with Pantelidis style because, like Alex mentioned, he is too slow. Even though the major calls have gone against us, I don't feel the ref is all that bad. I agree there was handling by AEK's Serbian defender but very difficult to avoid it since he was putting his hand down to cushion his fall not to mention no Aris player was ready to pounce on the ball. I would be disappointed if a similar call went against Aris which is the logic I try to use on important calls. Aris players need to calm down a bit because they are in control of the game and do not need to lose their cool and hurt the team. The team leaders need to step in this matter.

The goal should have counted since Hamza never touched the ball. He in no way interfered with the goalies ability to make a save.

Well PAOK did us a favor today by eliminating Panionios. We need OSFP to knock out Lamia tomorrow and Asteras to be knocked out by one of the top 3 next round, after that it will be up to us to hold on to 5th place at the very least.

Tzanakakis will not play this weekend, from what I've read it will either be Konstandinidis or Rose on the right side. While I understand the importance of this match, I hope the players nursing injuries are not rushed back because this can hurt the team in the long run.

I'm glad for the Arianoi that live in Salonika. This team has dropped many points this year by being careless, they can do much better but need to believe it. No need to pat yourself in the back when you could have done much better. Next week MUST be a victory.

UK, unfortunately you are spot on with your prediction and the 10% chance of victory might be too high. As painful as it is to admit as an Aris fan, PAOK are the best team in the SL two years running. Being undefeated this late in the season is no small task and not coincidental either. I must admit though it is more impressive that their fanbase has not sabotaged the team like they have in the past, especially last year. I expect a two goal final score differential (2-0, 3-1), the first 10-15 minutes of the game will be crucial because they will jump on us right off the bat. PAOK will not take this game lightly and will want to make clear who the top dog in the north is. Aris will need to hold on at the beginning of the game and use their speed on counter attacks, Larsson-Diguiny-Garcia are very good at doing just that. The individual talent is definitely there but with all the new faces that came in in January they have not bonded yet, this seems to be the case every transfer period. My heart is optimistic but my brain is pessimistic, here's hoping I'm dead wrong once again!!

Agreed 100% Basha is that type of player and it was only a matter of time before he got a red card.

Just as I was about post that Tonso hasn't shown much he takes out Garcia who is the only player that can create something out of nothing. Let's hope our coach has a gut feeling about this one cause it makes no sense.

I completed agree with your comments about Garcia Alex but you have to ask yourself, why is a talented youngster like that playing for Aris? Does he have attitude issues?

With 3 teams being relegated and a 4th playing in a playoff relegation game, these games will not be easy. Many of the teams we play will be desperate for points. Home games will be more difficult because Pantelidis prefers giving space and doesn't necessarily know how to coach when the opponent does the same to Aris. It will probably be a one goal game, I hope Panionios doesn't score first because we might be in trouble.
