After that Denmark loss, he hasn't coached the same. He pulled the kids early and turned to a few veterans that have no place on the team. He led a solid Nations League tourney and s%$#! the bed in qualifiers. There was no reason not to qualify. I think many of us would agree that our best line up was the one against Scotland in the Nations League, and we haven't seen it since. Tetteh/Pavlidis Tzolis Delias Karetsas Mouzakitis Zafeiris Giannoulis Mavropanos Koulierakis Vagiannidis Tzolakis/Vlacho/Mandas (pick one)3 points

At least Mandalos retired and he won't play again for the NT. Time for Bakasetas and Kourbelis to be dropped from the team as well.3 points

Really? Up until Feburary, we were absolutely playing the best and most attractive football in the league. Then injuries took hold and we have fallen apart since. Strongly disagree with that point as I do with saying the league was "down" in 2024. Olympiacos won a European title that season. We only just pipped AEK to win the title. Saying it was down is simply untrue and inidcates you either drink too much (likely) or are just desperate to justify your point (less likely but still plausible.) Not wanting Lucescu is fair enough, it is okay to not like him for whatever reason, but claiming we played ugly football all season is not true. We were lauded across the league for playing attractive football, we scored brilliant goals, were top of the table and were drawing comparisons to the great team of the 70's. Let me finish by saying, I don't think Lucescu should be guaranteed to coach next season. There clearly needs to be a review and assessment conducted. The jungle drums are rumbling and pressure mounting more than ever from fans and media alike. There comes a point when it is better to just shake hands and move on.2 points

After we won the league? Your hatred of the man has no limits. Season has been a failure unfortunately, and Lucescescu made mistakes with regard to the starting 11. Our midfield (Meite and Ozdoev) were non-existent defensively, OFI consistently got between our lines and were able to turn and face their attacking goal. Taison has always been a liability defensively, OFI attacked our left side with that knowledge and constantly had 2 v 1s on that side of the pitch. If OFI had played out the game instead of going into that hideous "game management" I genuinely believe they would've won 1-3. Instead they turned it into a grudge match and that fired our boys up enough to equalise. The penalty is unlucky, the corner should never have been conceded and then Chatisids' inexperience sees him leave his arm dangling. Regardless we didn't deserve to win the Cup and if we had it would have been a case of us stealing it rather than winning it. Questions and pressure will be mounted on Lucescu and so it should be, this season which had so much promise just 2 months ago has fizzled out in the most disappointing fashion. That is something for the board and Savvidis to discuss in the summer, for now we have to attack the last 4 games. I am more worried about holding off Panathinaikos and sewing up 3rd spot than I am thinking about catching Olympiacos and coming 2nd. The anti-Savvidis crew is now out in force too following the result. It is going to be a rough week for everyone involved with the club. I do not envy any of them.2 points

We are at this moment tied on 1-1 but Kavala lost 3-1 at PAS which means that PAOK B is save and will be playing in SL 2 next year. Edit: FT 1-1.2 points

Today Zivkovic took part in full practice and Meite and Kenny in partial practice. Looks like all three will be in the squad for the game.2 points

The result was good in Hungary considering the lineup and missing our top players. Greece three matches now without a goal that is concerning.. Jovanovich needs to start our young promising players we cant keep stating this enough. Kourbelis should not be on this team PERIOD! Bakesetas cant be starting!!2 points

If we can improve on Ivan we should and fire him. I doubt that happens though. Greece is not that much better than Denmark or Scotland imo and didn't deserve to be in WC. Thin at the back (if we are talking potential elite players) and in the center midfield. It's most promising players still young. Greece moving through the Nations League C and B ranks is not that great an achievement they have a lot to prove if they are to qualify for Euro in 2 years or else will be on the sidelines again.2 points

Totally agree with you guys. Out with the old in the with the new. I think Ange Postecoglou as manager is a good choice based on his success, ethnicity, mindset and coaching style. We have a talented generation coming through let’s make use of it.2 points

J1078 I was so annoyed when I tuned in an saw the starting eleven Jovanovich went with. WTF is Kourbelis doing starting he really should not even be on this team. He should have never been involved in this qualification campaign! Also Bakesetas in the eleven is a joke and at most he should be a sub. He had no real contribution to the match a side from taking a free kick off the foot of Karetsas and missing the target. I have said GREECE need to go all out and bring in a BIG NAME MANAGER that will not keep making these repeated mind boggling player personnel decisions.2 points

Did this guy really go with Bakasetas and Kourbelis in a friendly after missing out on the easiest qualification campaign rather than trying out different younger players in those positions. I don't know how much longer i can watch this team as long as we have idiot coaches starting these guys.2 points

Chalov scored a goal and had an assist today. Bring him back for next season! NOT1 point

Congratulations to OFI. It is refreshing to see a team other than the big 4 win the cup (even though I say it with a sad heart). And good luck to them in Europe. As for us, it's all gone off the rails since our EL campaign ended. Injuries, lack of form. The team just isn't clicking and has dropped multiple gears. It's a shame not only because of the 100 years but also because a couple of months ago when the team was doing well, I really believed we were the best team in the league when at our best. I really thought after our EL campaign ended that the players would have time to refresh and would be firing for the play offs. Alas, not to be. The club has to now sit back and work out what's gone wrong.1 point

I think it's time for Lucescu to go. Thank you for your services, but it's time for a fresh start.1 point

Stefanos Borbokis died at the age of 59. He played for all 4 professional teams in Thessaloniki (PAOK, Iraklis, Aris and Apollon Kalamaria) and for Edessaikos. He was capped 29 times for the Ethniki scoring 6 goals.1 point

Stefanos Borbokis died at the age of 59. Sadly he didn't make it to April 20th when we celebrate 100 years PAOK. I will never forget he was the scorer/matchwinner in the first PAOK-game I took my then girlfriend and now wife to watch: KV Mechelen-PAOK 0-1. R.I.P. Stefane.1 point

It's not over but AEK's win has made life difficult for us. Our game away at AEK after the Easter break is now a must win to cut the gap. Essentially we have to win our last 5 and we clinch the title, obviously that is far easier said than done. One game at a time though and it starts at Agia Sophia in a couple of weeks. The only positive with all this starting and stopping is that hopefully it means we get Meite, Kenny and Zivkovic back fit and firing for the crucial clash.1 point

Totally agree. Need to spend money on a quality coach. Don’t know why EPO keep going for the cheaper options. They probably expect the team to qualify with these low paying coaches. I suggest to bring in Postecoglou. Has experience at the very top level and has past success.1 point

Paraguay will be playing the first game of the world cup vs USA so I assume they will be starting their first 11 this game. I would love nothing more than to easily beat them just so the team could see what would've been if we had qualified1 point

And now an injury for Giakoumakis (again). He is out for this match. Hopefully it is a minor injury.0 points
