Hello Everyone! We couldn't believe our ears when we heard there was an active Greek soccer community! Glad to see the majority were as positive about yesterday's performance as we are. Now we just need to cross our fingers and hope JVS continues with the great showing we saw and not reverting to some of the miserable lineups with players out of position we saw in the past. Also thought it would be worth mentioning that since the Covid restart, Greece has maintained the highest match tempo it has EVER had since game data has been available. Greece is averaging 17.83 passes per minute of pure ball possession. We certainly are playing much more free flowing!

FYROM will participate in Euro 2021??? f***ing Lampropoulos destroyed us with that own goal against Estonia. But for that guy and the idiocy of Anastasiadis who started our B team that game, we would have reached the play off.

Actually Giakoumakis played very well. It was a good decision to call up such an in-form attacker. We were in bad need of a striker since the disappearance of Mitroglou. Tzolis also scored and the team played indeed well!

Skopjia qualified it's first ever European Championship appearance after beating Georgia 1-0. This makes me so mad that Greece isn't in and they are!

good performance from Cyprus

Sometimes when Greece and Cyprus play each other, Greece wins under fishy circumstances, but this was well-deserved for Greece. Probably should have been more than 2-1. JVS has the ethniki playing the best since Santos, and Cyprus have not looked good under Walem, even lost to Luxembourg.

Impressed with giakoumakis, always in the right spot. Also always impressed with Limnios who can create a chance at any given moment. Good to see tsimikas playing with confidence and putting some really great crosses in the box

Glad he is giving Tziolis/Giakoumakis/Xatzi a chance. Good time to experiment. For all those bashing the coach, say what you want with selections, the team HAS been playing better under him. I see more passion, ball control and overall competitiveness. Just before he arrived, we saw players not hustle and generally play poor. Do you guys not remember the game against Italy were we couldn't get out of our own half? We may have had "better" players but we were not a team.
