  1. Here is my take. Great first half as we created some chances and gave them nothing. The 2nd half especially from the 70th minute and on we sat back to deep at let them control the ball, where if we played similar to the first have where we gave them nothing it could have been an easier night. Overall good first start for the NT and the coach and a big 3 points. A few player mentions below. Bouchalakis - Should not be starting he does a few things okay but over all he's a turnover machine especially with his passes and his quick first touch is bad. Mantalos - For me does nothing and we have better options and in no way he should be our first option starting. Siopis - An incredible game and the best I've seen him play for this team and definitely deserves to start again if he plays like that, The guy was everywhere and worked his ass off. Giakoumakis - needs to be the regular starter and our main striker for this team and if our wingers can open up more space for him he can be dangerous. Tsimikas - another solid performance The subs were all wrong in my opinion but we can't be to hard on Poyet as he's still learning about this team and hopefully he figures it out sooner rather then later.

  3. We have pace on the sides and are pushing the ball up but as soon a pass is given to a midfielder, our attack totally stalls. So annoying

  4. Found a link through Reddit soccer streams… This is a horrible game so far. Bunch of turnovers

  6. If we want Greece to be at the level of qualifying for tournaments consistently, they need to beat a team like NI by multiple goals. How many 1-0, one-off victories have the boys put in over the years only to never have consistency? But, a win is a win.

  7. Good analysis. Game should have been over by half. Mantalos has no confidence. He should be coming in off the bench. Bouchalakis is too slow and gave the ball away in some bad spots. Siopis was great! Giakoumakis should have scored on the ball in from Rota. His hold up play is very good. He is our best striker. He will get his goals. Imagine having a fully fit Fortounis playing in this game and pulling the strings.

  8. Where are all my fellow Paok fans who claimed Limnios isn’t that good… #toldyaso

  9. Didn't have much space, not a great shot, but the quick release is enough to beat Peacock-Farrell

  10. Mantalos and Liminos should not be starting bad move by Poyet. he should have Tzolis and Douvikas from the players available.

  14. Early reports saying Poyet has decided what the starting eleven will look like, no massive surprises but once again our midfield appears to be lacking. ---------------Vlachodimos--------------- Kotsiras----Xatzidiakos--Mavropanos--Tsimikas ------Siopis----Bakasetas---Bouchalakis/Kourbelis Douvikas------Giakoumakis-----Limnios https://www.sport24.gr/football/ethniki-elladas-protes-dokimes-poget-me-giakoymaki-stin-koryfi-kai-provlima-me-masoyra.9650587.html Masouras has a knock and it's touch and go if he'll be fit in time. Not sure about Douvikas on the wing but happy with the more physical Giakoumakis leading the line against what will be some physical center backs. Limnios had a terrific season numbers wise, became a starter for a top 4 team in Holland with over 8 league goals 4-5 assists, I am interested to see if he has had added any strings to his bow or is still the hard working/workman like winger he was when he left PAOK 2 years ago. Midfield doesn't look overly inspiring but its the best we have, I think Bouchalakis will struggle with the pace and physicality over the Northern Irish. Not that Kourbelis is super quick and I am honestly not sure what his form has been like since returning from that long term injury, but he I think can at least mix it with the Northern's physically and will throw his weight around. Looks unlikely at this stage Baldock will start, given he only joined up with the team a few days ago. He is probably suited to playing against these guys though, and he himself said that he has played against almost the whole NI squad throughout his years in England.
