I think Sweden's transfer window runs until the end of this month actually. This would be synched with their league, which as you know has left their players in much better shape than ours during past European qualifiers (Oestersund, yikes)

Yesterday was the deadline for Olympiakos to take the EPO Appeals Court ruling that there is no ownership of Xanthi by Ivan Savvidis to CAS. As expected they chickened out by failing to go to the international court, since they had no chance of ever proving their allegations since they were all just manufactured by them.

Cant wait to see who JVS calls up to the NT.. It will be great to see the Ethniki back in action.

Και να χαρεί το πανελλήνιο την ομάδα που αγαπά να γράφει Ιστορία. Αφού μια πρόκριση απόψε απέναντι στην καλύτερη ομάδα φέτος θα μας φέρει δυο βήματα πριν το τρόπαιο. Το λέω έτσι γιατί ο κόσμος αρχίζει να αγαπά τον Άρη!!! Δεν τον συμπαθεί απλώς. Τον αγαπά γιατί μάχεται, γιατί παλεύει, γιατί τα καταφέρνει και κρατιέται όρθιος σε όσα στραβά του κάνουν. Καταφέρνοντας μάλιστα να παραμένει η πιο υγιής ομάδα σε ένα ποδόσφαιρο που νοσεί. Κι αυτό, στους χαλεπούς καιρούς της καραντίνας, τον κάνει να ξεχωρίζει από όλους όσους κουβαλούν τον ιό της παράγκας. Είναι η ελπίδα τους για κάτι υγιές. Οπότε, είτε η ομάδα χάσει απόψε, ή όχι, τούτο θα είναι η μεγαλύτερη νίκη μας. Η συμπάθεια του κόσμου που μετατρέπεται σε αγάπη για το ποδόσφαιρο που θέλει να βλέπει. Ναι, είναι αλήθεια πως η προϊστορία δεν είναι με το μέρος μας. Κάποιοι όμως την ποδοσφαιρική πείνα δεν την αντέχουν. Κι αν το αφεντικό τους απαγορέψει να γλύφουν την μαρμίτα τότε η πείνα τους δεν θα αντέχεται. JVS seems not to care about game time anymore because now he understands what is needed against a powerhouse like Spain. Manolas is still recovering from injury and Sokratis has just started to play. Nothing has been reported about Siovas at the moment but we’ll see in the coming weeks. Our first game is 3 weeks away. The call ups should be announced by next week.

A few quick things I respectfully disagaree with here @Jimmyp. While on average goals scored per match in the Erdevise is on the high side compared with other top European leagues.....Giakoumakis plays for Venlo. Goals are hard to come by for such a bad team. It cannot be overstated how monumental and important Giokoumakis' season has been thus far. He may single handedly be keeping VVV Velo from relegation (just barely). (Erdevise is on par with Serie a for goals scored in 19-20 and wed still regard a top scorer from there highly.) Also Ill take him being in the company of other top goalscorers over the years from Erdevise: Suarez Dost De jong/Tadic And depay. Vs the top goalscorers for the Super League. He has to be the starter
