Paok is definetly going to grow and become a more expensive team (with the limits of Financial fair play), probably becoming the most expensive Greek team ever (100 mill isn't what is was back then). But that would be all for nothing if the league is gonna be crap, Paok will have an easy time in the league and nothing is going to prepare them for Champions league, not to mention the road to champions league is gonna be harder if nothing is going to gather points in European matches. So yeah I want a big Panathinaikos, I want Alouzofos to get the F*** out of Panathinaikos, and give it to Ginanakopolous or whatever, instead of being so butthurt, arrogant and proud. I want a strong Aris, a competitive Aek, a good league generally. A league that is won by various strong teams.

Re jvc, I get what you’re saying but you speak as if PAOK is to blame or something. All PAOK (and every other club) can do is to try and be a little better each season compared to the one before. You speak as if we are not allowed to rejoice at the idea of potentially winning a title for the first time since 1985. Should we be miserable instead ? You speak of lack of investment but Savvidis has poured in vast amounts of money into the club. More than any PAOK fan could have ever guessed in a million years. If you really cared about Greek football, you would become a PAOK supporter, the one club that is really trying and investing (and also change your username to insert a ‘K’ as the 4th letter). As for CL and our teams being competitive, that I keep telling you (but you are a xerokefalo with the attention span of a goldfish) is from a bygone era. The world has changed. Benfica were once a powerhouse, Nottingham Forest, Ajax, etc etc etc. Your beloved CL changed all that. All the money goes to the 10 or so biggest clubs and the rest are just little fish making up the numbers. This is the reality.

Not many Greek players can play bother CAM and on the wing. There is one player that can and his name is Bouzoukis. I’m my honest opinion I believe Bouzoukis is better than Bakasetas. I would put Bouzoukis in the team. I’m not totally set on Chatzigiovannis but I would give him a shot same with Masouras. Fetfatzidis would be threatening on the wing for us with clever quick feet and eye for a pass. No coach seems to like him and I’m not entirely sure why. I still believe in Pelkas. In my opinion the reason we didn’t get much out of him was because he was burnt out. He stated every match for PAOK since July 2018 until December 2018. From that period he was playing non stop and his style of play which is relentlessly pressing the oppositions backline all the time affected him and his fitness in my opinion. The few games he played earlier in the season he was very good. Mantalos on the other hand I believe is deteriorating because of the many long term injuries he has sustained. He is declining in my opinion but would still be a good option off the bench. Bakasetas in my opinion is not good enough and too slow. Same would go for Bouchalakis as he is slow too.

They struggle with teams that pack the back, they cant do one two passes in tight spaces... lucky for us Dynamo sucked on the counter attack.

Oly played much better second half but yeah missed a finisher. Fortounis subbed off was a mistake because he could have made something out of that free kick that Tsimikas took The game was more lost in Karaiskakis. Dynamo are experts at shutting things down in freezing cold Kiev.

Had the chances. Team simply lacks a predator in the box to put chances away. Missed opportunity.

UK, unfortunately you are spot on with your prediction and the 10% chance of victory might be too high. As painful as it is to admit as an Aris fan, PAOK are the best team in the SL two years running. Being undefeated this late in the season is no small task and not coincidental either. I must admit though it is more impressive that their fanbase has not sabotaged the team like they have in the past, especially last year. I expect a two goal final score differential (2-0, 3-1), the first 10-15 minutes of the game will be crucial because they will jump on us right off the bat. PAOK will not take this game lightly and will want to make clear who the top dog in the north is. Aris will need to hold on at the beginning of the game and use their speed on counter attacks, Larsson-Diguiny-Garcia are very good at doing just that. The individual talent is definitely there but with all the new faces that came in in January they have not bonded yet, this seems to be the case every transfer period. My heart is optimistic but my brain is pessimistic, here's hoping I'm dead wrong once again!!
