Aris is run as an amateur side by the Erasitexni Aris. They just awarded the management of the soccer team to Karypidis a self proclaimed Olympiakos supporter, which basically means that Aris is on its way to becoming another farm team, which also explains the influx of old Olympiakos based players and coaching staff.
There is a civil war going on within Aris with all kinds of weird decisions by the erasitexni board. Last weekend they voted and awarded the management to Nikos Arvanitidis, the son of the previous Veroia owner, only to kick him out and replace him with Karypidis. Prior to that they voted to kick out Alex Kalas, who has been funding the team most of the last season.
If and when Aris makes it to Football League, Karypidis will have to make a decision about his ownership of Veroia, that's why he is supposedly negotiating with some Chinese management company to take over Veroia, so he can legally own Aris, when they become a professional team in Football League. That's unless the board does not vote him out during the course of the season.
Never a dull moment in the ongoing saga of Aris Thessaloniki.
