Well hopefully all their best youngsters are with the senior team already. I will look forward to watching these games though - we are too thin in too many positions to not need to hope for a breakthrough from one of these guys. Chatsidis, make me proud!
-
I missed both of the previous Pats games because of the STIPIKI matches. Don't regret it at all, though!
-
Didn't realize there was a concern about losing either of them. Seems like two players who are very much in our camp, you know? Still, good to know that there's nothing to panic over yet.

Rare Monday night game for PAOK. It will feel like the Bears playing on Monday Night Football.
-
Funny thing is that until yesterday nobody knew (Thessaloniki sports media) that PAOK had a 1-year renewal option with Michailidis. Maybe all these rumors that Panathinaikos is after him were just games by the managers. His manager is Paul Koutsioliakos who has screwed PAOK in the past on several occasions. As for Zivkovic, it is reported that his new contract is being negotiated by his father exclusively with Ivan Savidis.
-
PAE PAOK has extended Tsiftsis's contract until June 2029. His current contract was to expire in 2028.
-
Following teams will be drawn on Friday : Czechia Denmark Finland Greece Iceland Netherlands Ireland Turkey Obviously I would love to play Finland, Iceland, or Ireland. But with our luck we will get drawn with the Dutch
-
Listening to the radio today, a generally in the know PAOK reporter stated with regard to Michailidis (whos contract is due to expire at the end of the season) that there is a club option to extend his current deal for another season. Which means we aren't in any real danger of losing him next summer. Remains to be seen if that is actually the case. Regardless of that I hope the club is working to re-sign both he and Zivkovic. We know how painfully slow we have been with these sort of things.

Mythou scored the only goal for the U21 team against Northern Ireland, but it was not enough to see us through to the final stage, as we needed a win with 2 goal margin. Last chance to make it through in a playoff game.
-
Just could not do it against a weak Northern Ireland team. Only 1:0 win which was not enough to qualify to the final stage. We have one more chance through a play off contest. We just like to make it hard on our selves.
-
JJ should come to the NT. Forget England and Cyprus. JJ can honor Cyprus on the pitch for Greece! I read it was their camp that reached out to EPO? I really don't know though..

:: takes a drag from a cigarette :: Kalamata? There's a name I haven't heard in a while.

Or you can trust that Olympiakos journo who claimed it's because he's secretly a Jehova's Witness and no longer believes in ethnicity. My guess is that it is simply because of his son, though. That is more than enough of a reason to refuse call ups for one set of games. It's certainly possible that the coach's continued use of subpar players over him (Bakasetas, mainly) played a role in his leaving. But, that doesn't seem to be part of his character. He never made problems while at PAOK, and Lucescu was if anything more stubborn than the NT coach. Ultimately I'd be more concerned if he refuses callups after his recovery is complete. It would also be an enormous loss to the STIPIKI (bonus points if you're old enough to remember that reference). He could well be the most talented guy we've had in decades.

Tomorrow U21 plays the last game in this qualifying stage of the competition. We face Northern Ireland in an away game and we need to win by 2 goal margin to automatically qualify to the finals of U21 EURO 2027. The other way to automatically qualify is to beat Northern Ireland and Germany does not beat Georgia, which is highly unlikely. At a minimum we have secured a playoff spot and have a chance to make the finals through the playoffs, but the easiest way is to win tomorrow by 2 goal margin.
