Alpha TV through Cosmos TV

Recommended Posts

toronto, calgary and athens are just metamedia's offices, X channel shows nothing and alpha works.

Use it until they start charging. The only thing I can say is this is ligit, not like some other services. They recently opened up offices in Melbourne as well.-

Hope that Alpha stays open at least until Monday, when PAOK plays Panionios. B)

It should be, this past summer our store had a booth at a festival. The booth next to ours was metohos. I spoke to a rep from there all week. They are looking at a lineup of channels that would exceed the other one out there. They wre looking at something like nova with the supersports and regular channels. The lady also said that they were looking at it being 40% cheaper than cable and satellite. This company, I believe trades on the TSX in Toronto. Hopefully all comes true and hopefully inexpensive.

I have no ties to this company if some are wondering, just many of the staff are customers.

I will inform if any updates are available

Georgios 10, good info, please keep us informed, keep up with all good info

Go Larisa! pame UEFA

Download Winamp if you do not have it .

When it opens, go to file ,internet tv.

Do a search for "greek".There should be about 4-5 channels listed.

One of them - up to last week - was Alpha.

It comes and goes .

I have been able to watch all their soccer games live, during the last 2 months,.

The audio was delayed 30-60 secs, but who cares?

Greek radio on winamp is good also.

Metamedia Successfully Demonstrates IPTV Technology

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - March 3, 2006) - Metamedia Capital Corp. (TSX VENTURE:MME) ("Metamedia" or the "Company") The Company successfully completed a demonstration of its Live Broadcast through the Internet on March 2, 2006, in Athens Greece, to the satisfaction of more than 60 executives, technology experts and members of the Press from the NJV Plaza Hotel.

The gathering of the specialized group was addressed by His Excellency Philip Somerville, Canada's Ambassador to Greece who expressed his satisfaction and pride of the technological sector's leading innovations in Canada and representation of such technologies successfully made by Metamedia in the IPTV field.

The audience itself was captured by the camera in the room and the live signal was sent to Calgary, via London and Toronto routing where it was re-compressed and sent back through the same route to the NJV Conference room in Athens, in high resolution picture and sound, where it was projected on a large-size LCD SCREEN to the audience's delight and amazement.

Technical questions were answered by the Company's Chief Engineer, Mr. Lee Bradford, to the satisfaction of the guests and experts in attendance.

The broadcast was restricted to the Athens audience only in order to limit usage of the Company's bandwidth for the transatlantic demonstration.

For those interested seeing the live broadcast capabilities of its technology, the Company currently broadcasts live streams for Canadian viewing from its Toronto and Calgary offices.

The TSX Venture Exchange does not accept responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of this press release.

Unfortunately, even thought it seemed like a great effort, the whole thing is very unprofessional and extremely annoying. Who knows, maybe they can get their stuff together. Very disappointing! How long does it take to post a notice to your visitors online that your service is not working?
