LOL no wonder they dont list those channels on there site alot of them abit iffy that they are actually allowed to broadcast them ie BBC One HD and all of the NOVA Greece channels....

You may be able to get all these channels and stream them to everyone etc...But do you actually have legal agreements/contracts with all these channels for IPTV distribution etc? I think that what everyone wants to know....

This says to me we are not offering you the channels only the means to get the channels, so that says to me the channels have no idea about this... IMO

Who knows if there legit or not. Only way to find out is when the channels themselves endorse these services.

It's very strange what a big difference ERT has for Australia and America regarding there channel its not exclusive and free to air here, while in America exclusive to 1 company and only available free to air with a large dish....

ERT World has also left the Globecast freq's on Optus D2 and Telstar 10

Also available now for Australia and NZ ERA 1,2,3,4,5 Radio Channels same frequency as ERT World :)

Yes I noticed that Turkish Soap when I was there recently and everyone I know there stops everything to watch it, quite amazing..... I watched abit of it and did't see any appeal to it... Ta Mistika Tis Edem on MEGA is very big in Greece, but the last episode was pretty much one big commercial the last episode seemed to be cut down to fit more commercials and leaving people wanting more this is one show that people can't wait to come back

I think ERT is trying to find the best deal to suit there needs and costs. And if you see UBI have some channels Globecast USA does. I don't think it matters who distributes it in different parts of the world but at this moment it is very likely you guys in the US will get ERT FTA with all these changes and getting rid of COMART has helped the situation. There is also another provider of ethnic channels FTA over NA checkout http://home2us.com/b2c/b2c http://www.lyngsat.com/101west.html they also could broadcast ERT so I would keep an eye on them also.

UBI will be taking over the FTA distribution of ERT World for Australia and New Zealand starting September 4th it will no longer be on Globecast where most are watching ERT World now The new frequency you will need to rescan your boxes to is : 12608 H 22500 3/4 There is currently a scrolling message on ERT World telling everyone about this change also

Getting free channels using a regular antenna is possible as long as your TV has a digital tuner in it or you have a digital set top box that can recieve the signals its no problem I don't understand how you guys in the USA don't know much about this and why everyone has cable there and not use antenna this has been around for as long as TV has been around here in Australia its common practice So to some it up you dont need cable tv to watch the Free local channels you have there all you need is a regular antenna indoor or outdoor and a tv capable of recieiving digital channels its a piece of cake... cut off that cable and use an antenna to recieve your free to air channels... :tup:

I think the best we could hope for is that the channels will start to broadcast in WS for there international channels I doubt they would make any of there international channels HD...

They took there sweet time but finally they changed the logo now lets see how long it takes til they change the channel itself like programming to suit each region etc...

It seems DirecTV has some kind of agreement with UBI for the Arabic package... Could we expect a DirectGreek package containing the UBI selection of channels RIK Sat, Sigma, Channel 10, Extra, Alpha, MAD World, Star and proberly the Radio Channels also that UBI have Time will tell .... :) :gr:

Maybe you guys in the US are getting some of the channels we have here in Australia :)
