Giannis Gitersos of our B team is gone and probably will join Asteras Tripolis.

Why do we have this team, "buy" the Chalov's and Samatta's of this world for the A team and than let those lads go for free? Can someone elaborate?

I genuinely think it's because when you have money, you feel you need to spend it on the shiny new toy. Keep in mind both Mythou and Chatsidis can play CF too, and they only even made the senior team when we had injuries.

I am tempted to blame it on Lucescu's conservative player selection (and I do!), but even without him it seems every coach refuses to take a chance on these younger guys. Plus, those coaches also have the expectations of championships on their shoulders, which means they will not be willing to take as many risks.

Along that same idea, even though we should be rebuilding, people will give Lisci absolutely no leeway the moment the team stumbles. Even if the philosophy he (or Vieirinha or Matos) brings are needed.

Santamaria looks like a done deal, will come as a free agent. 

We are probably still a central midfielder short, Santamaria will join Zaferis and Camara. Meite is an unknown quality with his fitness and availability. Remains to be seen if Lisci rates and uses Thymianis at all.

Because Ali is much better player, including World Cup experience. He should be in good shape for our first European games, since the Swedish league is in full force and he just took part in the World Cup games in the past few weeks.

It appears that if we wanted Giakoumakis we would have to spend around 7 mil Euro. He was very good for us last season, but not worth 7 mil. Same goes for Gianoulis. There is no way I would spend 5 mil to bring him to PAOK.
