Rather had Maccabi away as they play in Hungary and Lyon at home in pot 2. But okay. It is as it is.

Glad we have Brann Bergen at home and not on their artificial turf.

Finally very happy we did not have a Dutch team. Don't like fratricide (in my pov)

I see a minimum of 12 points which could put us into the seeded draw for the KO round. 14 points were top 8 last season, and that's very doable. Must have wins all at home and sneak out 2 draws or a win away

Wow you guys are a lot more optimistic than I am! Considering where we were a week ago I wouldn't say I'm confident of getting anything more than 10-12 points. Amazing what some wins can do!

Lille, Betis, Lyon and Celta Vigo (don't let coefficient fool you they were a top 7 team in La Liga last season) are all games we will start underdog in.

Then what you have left is Maccabi, Ludogorets and Young Boys. Okay so we would expect to win these games, but all 3 of those teams are around our level. So it won't be easy, they are no easy beats and all have their own European pedigree. Brann is simply a must win. These 4 games will shape our European campaign, losing one will mean having to make up the points against one of the tougher opponents. 

Overall it is a tricky draw with only one "easy beat" on paper. Since the introduction of the Conference League, that is what the Europa League has become. We will have to be at our very best in all games. I could see us with 12 points and battling to get into the top 8. I could also see us with 6-7 points and missing out altogether.

That's half the fun. Don't trick yourself into thinking we don't belong in this competition - they earned it, emphatically (and have the history to support that)

So after the great result vs Young Boys, an updated stat from the famous "football meets data." They still haven't released the full "top 8" and "top 24" percentages, but I'd imagine we slightly improved for the top 8 as well.

These guys are also now predicting 91% chance of us making the top 24 and 14% chance of top 8. I'd expect the top 8 chance to only marginally increase if we beat Brann (as we are favored), so we'd need to upset Lyon to make very big progress.

27 Nov (our Brann game):

• Fenerbahce vs Ferencvaros - both above us, any result will see us improve relative to someone
• Bologna vs Red Bull Salzburg - RB can beat Bologna, which would be great
• Victoria Plzen vs Freiburg - same idea as Fenerbahce's game
• Roma vs Midtjylland - we'd have to hope for a Roma loss

11 Dec (our Ludogorets game):

• Midtjylland vs Genk - again, hope for Midtjylland to keep winning
• Celta Vigo vs Bologna - hope for a Bologna loss
• Brann vs Fenerbahce - Brann is currently right below us so if we do win our tie then we can potentially have some help if they somehow beat Fenerbahce
• Young Boys vs Lille - very long shot but Young Boys taking a few points off Lille would be huge for us
