Blackhawk Posted January 17, 2022 Author Posted January 17, 2022 The Swedish ref assigned for this game came down with covid and was replaced by a ref from Hungary.
Blackhawk Posted January 18, 2022 Author Posted January 18, 2022 AEK has two covid cases and couple injured players, so they will have some absences. Our main goal should be to keep a clean sheet since the away goal counts
Blackhawk Posted January 19, 2022 Author Posted January 19, 2022 I was expecting Vieirinha to start instead of Sidcley.
Dutch Eagle Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 Good strike Kurtic. Dito save keeper AEK. Just 4 degrees Celsius in Thessaloniki. Brrrr
Blackhawk Posted January 19, 2022 Author Posted January 19, 2022 Our corners are atrocious. We could easily be losing 3:0 by now.
Blackhawk Posted January 19, 2022 Author Posted January 19, 2022 At this point I would be happy with a 0:0 tie. We could easily be losing 5:0 up to this point.
Dutch Eagle Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 We are bad. No momentum. Biseswar and Vieirinha coming in for Jaba and Sidcley
Dutch Eagle Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 Jaba and Akpom out. Swiderski and Mitrita in. Noticed it before but if Vieirinha comes in he is not our captain from that moment anymore.
PaokCT Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 I'm in the minority but if we dont qualify so be it. I'm more focused on getting closer to Olympiakos who is struggling currently. 9 points back, if we can get it to within 5 by playoffs, it's up for grabs
Dutch Eagle Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 FT 0-0. Bad for my eyes to watch this garbage today.
Athens4 Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 It is just painful watching this team. Snails move faster than some of these players. Our corners, crossing and finishing are all horrific. What on Earth are they trying to do by having a second man on the corner? Do they honestly think they will confuse the opposition? AEK came to get a draw and perhaps steal a win via counter attacks. Against teams like these you need to move the ball quickly otherwise they will shut you down. I think AEK will finally get revenge this time. I would say 50% of the squad should be offloaded this summer. I would also start playing Karol over Chuba.
Blackhawk Posted January 19, 2022 Author Posted January 19, 2022 Considering the clear cut chances AEK had to score I am happy with the tie in the end. We just don't have any clue on what to do in the offensive zone when the other team parks the bus. The lack of speed on our team is our biggest problem. Having said that we are still in the game to progress to the semifinal. All we need now to do is score in Athens next week and all the pressure will be on AEK.
pash Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 (edited) Karol seems riled up that he no longer starts and has been looking quite a bit better when he gets put on. -edit- seeing now that he's been sold sooooo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Edited January 19, 2022 by pash
italosPAOK4 Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 pame gia 2 nikes sto OAKA se kupello kai prwta8lhma !
pash Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Sounds like the away leg is going to be postponed, this time due to the weather.
Blackhawk Posted January 24, 2022 Author Posted January 24, 2022 That's too bad. AEK will be missing several players if the game is played Wednesday. I am pretty sure they are pushing hard to have the game postponed using the little snow as an excuse. It would be in PAOK's best interest for the game to be played as scheduled.
Dutch Eagle Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 The return is scheduled for February 9th, 20:00 EEST. Can you start a topic for thar game, @Blackhawk?
