Looks like the move Cagliari didn't eventuate, but he's joining Sheffield United in the Premier league on loan.

A English article just because sport24 let me down last time with the links to Cagliari

He's been loaned to Saint-Etienne for the season with a 6.5 Million Euro option to buy.

Let's hope for a big year from him, he's been in the wilderness for the past 2 seasons with being injured and falling out of favour. He's only played 7 games at club level over that period, so it's hugely important for him to stay fit and cement himself in the starting XI. We don't want him turning into another Kpaps.

I hope he stays injury free and has a great season.

After another injury lay-off, Retsos returned to the starting line-up for Saint Etienne in their 1-1 draw with PSG. He played the full 90, hopefully this is the beginning of a long and injury free run for him.

Would be great to have him fit and in-form come the WC qualifiers in March.

And he's injured again! 2nd game back just a few days after his successful return and he is subbed off at half-time with a thigh injury. Apparently Saint Etienne will be looking to bring in another CB over the January transfer window.

He unfortunately appears to be made of glass, gonna be tough for him to establish himself in a top European league with his body constantly braking down.

His career as a professional football player should be done real quick with this frequency of Jim getting injured. At least at top level, for sure.

This is unbelievable
