Pelkas is back training normally, I doubt he'll make the squad for this match. Tzavellas will probably make the squad, I don't know if Ivic will use him.

I want a win against an Azeri-team. Preferably with a 3 goal difference. Just to be sure because Qarabag plays at home in the last groupstage-game against Fiorentina who will be qualified at that time (and thus will rest some players).

Must win. If we do even if we lose to Fiorentina we play Slovan Liberec at home in the last game. By that time Liberec will be eliminated and the Czech league will already be on Winter break.

Looks like Campos is out due to injury. I want to see Biseswar, Mystakidis and Perayra in the starting lineup.

He'll probably start Klaus.

My lineup for the game:

------------------ Glykos ----------------
Matos - Varela - Tzavelas - Leovac
----- Canas ----------- Cimirot --------
Mystakidis -- Biseswar -- Rodrigues
---------------- Pereyra -----------------

But I think Ivic will go with:

------------------ Glykos ----------------
Matos - Crespo - Tzavelas - Leovac
----- Canas ----------- Cimirot --------
Mystakidis -- Shakhov -- Rodrigues
----------------- Klaus - -----------------

Do you think he'll start Tzavellas over Malezas ?  Malezas has been pretty solid in the games v Olympiakos and AEK.  Good to see Malezas getting some runs and going well regardless.

BH, I think the main reason Biseswar isn't starting is his fitness/stamina.  Even when he comes on in the 60th minute, he's huffing and puffing by the 80...I don't think he can play a full 90, or even a solid 60 for that matter.

Ivic said as much during the last press conference. "He's heavy...you understand what I mean by that?"

Posted

Hate to say it, but Biseswar has that "look" about him that says he'll never be 100% fit.  Let's see how he progresses, but it's already 1/4 of the way through the season and he's struggling to play 90 minutes.

For sure. He's a professional athlete who has multiple trainers and nutritionists looking after him, and four months in he still isn't in good enough shape to play. My main hope at this point is that he'll have an impact when we are able to use him, and by the second half of the season he'll be rested and ready to clean house.

That might be the case, since Ivic said that he can't play 3 games straight in one week. However I think there might be another reason, why Ivic likes to put him in the 2nd half. By that time the opponent's midfield line is getting tired, and it is easier for Biseswar to use his technical skill to the fullest. That being said, it's quite obvious that we are a different team when he is on the pitch.

I think statistically, this will be the game that Glykos gets injured in. I hope Brkic is ready.
