pash Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Big stadium, but who knows if they'll be able to fill it up. I can't see us not scoring in this match. Maybe we can get Georgiadis back to score a few too. 1
Dutch Eagle Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Do not know what the average people overthere earn but the cheapest ticket is 2 Euro (5 Lari in their currancy) and for 10 Euro you are in the VIP. For is westeners this is so cheap that it seems like trying to fill the stadium.
paok4athens Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 ena kalo apotelesma kai meta prokrish sthn Toumba ! B) 1
pash Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 2 euroes does sound crazy cheap, but then again so do tickets at Toumba for me ;) Compared to here, at least 1

pash Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 We thank you for your service. Cimirot seems to be all right again (after the scare from the last friendly), and Tziolis as well (from even earlier). Campos has some sort of minor ACL aggravation, but it doesn't seem like it'll keep him from at least joining the team and probably starting. Either way, we shouldn't need our best players to take out Dinamo.
pash Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 What will happen, is the same as what happens each time - someone blinks, life goes on, maybe a few domestic matches are rescheduled, refs get threatened, Olympiakos wins the title, PAOK gets a 6 point deduction in the playoffs. 3
kozi Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Lets hope we do well in Europe so we can get some points for PAOK!!!! Stuff the rest. They can please themselves. I'm over the coefficient big time. 1
Dutch Eagle Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Liran Liany of Israel is the ref according to inpaok.com. According to this site he has never been a ref for a Greek team but his stats say he was in Tripolis last year: http://worldreferee.com/referee/liran_liany/stats
Blackhawk Posted August 16, 2016 Author Posted August 16, 2016 Game will be televised live on Sport Plus for subscribers in USA, Canada and Australia
Blackhawk Posted August 16, 2016 Author Posted August 16, 2016 The 22 players picked by Ivic that will travel to Georgia:
Dutch Eagle Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 What happened between Ivic and Pelkas? Did they had a fight or something? I'm surprised Pelkas is left out of the squad again after a good run last year.
pash Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Good question. He's looked pretty good in what game time he's had, too. If he is as good as we think he is, then he'll earn his way back into the first team. As for the lineup, what I'd like to see: --Glykos-- --Matos--Crespo--Tzavellas--Leovac-- --Cimirot--Charisis-- --Campos-- --Rodrigues-- --Pereyra--Klaus-- What I think we'll see: --Glykos-- --Matos--Crespo--Tzavellas--Leovac-- --Cimirot--Shakhov--Charisis-- --Campos--Klaus--Rodrigues--
Blackhawk Posted August 16, 2016 Author Posted August 16, 2016 I think you're right, but would not be surprised to see Canas in the lineup.
Bananas Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 It will be interesting to see how Canas plays. We haven't had a proper "shield" in front of the defense since Garcia. Cimirot does the job quite well, but I'm not sure he can do it adequately against good opposition. Tziolis, Charisis, Kace they aren't the sort of players to play this role, and I believe, it's 50% of the reason why we've conceded so many cheap goals in recent years. The other 50% is not having a solid CB so I'm hoping that Canas and Varela can finally stabilise the defensive part of our game. 1
pash Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 It does sound like Canas will be playing. One of the sites is predicting a 4-1-4-1 with Canas in front of the defenders, Cimirot/Shakhov in the middle, and the normal wingers + Klaus (because Pereyra literally needs to kill a man to get a shot).

pash Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Quite possibly the most disturbing video I've seen all season. Sound needs to be on to understand.
Blackhawk Posted August 17, 2016 Author Posted August 17, 2016 I don't understand. Would you like to enlighten us?
