Dimitris Giannoulis, Charis Charisis, Giannis Mystakidis and Euthimis Koulouris called up by Nikopolidis for the U21. They play against Albania and Portugal on September 2nd and 6th.

Charisis and Koulouris scored in a 3-1 victory over Hungary's U21 side. They got creamed by Israel last week, however, 4-0.

Crazy town!  He's played ~20 minutes as a sub for PAOK in total this season and he gets rewarded like this.  Ha ha, what is Skibbe thinking.

Koulouris scored the tying goal against Cyprus (2:2) with a penalty kick in the 89th minute.

Shakov scored his first goal for Ukraine in the first game he starts in the starting lineup. Not a spectacular goal but ok, it will count for ever. He was subbed in 77'. Ukraine leading 1-0 with a few minutes to go against Serbia.

Serbia and Prijovic both reportedly working on the paperwork for his first cap with their NT. That was fast.

Ο Ελευθέριος Λύρατζης, ο Ιωάννης Μιχαηλίδης, ο Γεώργιος Βρακάς, ο Αντώνης Γαϊτανίδης και ο Αλέξανδρος Γκαργκαλατζίδης, θα είναι οι εκπρόσωποι του Δικεφάλου στο αντιπροσωπευτικό συγκρότημα της U17 της Ελλάδας.

O κ. Βασίλης Γεωργόπουλος ανακοίνωσε τα ονόματα των ποδοσφαιριστών που θα συμπεριληφθούν στην αποστολή της Εθνικής Ομάδας Παίδων ενόψει της συμμετοχής της το χρονικό διάστημα 9-16/3/2017 στην elite round του UEFA U-17 European Championship 2017. Οι Παίδες συμμετέχουν στον 3ο όμιλο με αντιπάλους τις Ισπανία, Πολωνία και Πορτογαλία (διοργανώτρια του τουρνουά).

Warda called up for Egypt's friendly vs Togo on March 20th

Varela called up by the coach of Cape Verde for the friendly against Luxemburg on March 28th.

Leovac called up for Croatia, too. He'll be lining up against Shakhov, assuming he sees minutes

Campos has gotten his first call-up for Angola since 2015. It seems he was previously refusing to play due to some animosity with who was in charge there?

^ My guess is that Campos won't be able to make that appointment with his NT after all, judging by his injury. That's a shame.

 

Glykos called up (and will likely start). Mistakidis not called up. A shame.

What percentage of players on the NT are starters for their teams? Doesn't seem to have stopped Skibbe/Santos/etc in the past.

I am glad he did not get called. He can concentrate on his duties at PAOK, where he will be needed now that we are down one forward.

As long as the players that are called in are not based on their current form, but are based on who their agent is, I prefer PAOK players are not called for the NT. Tell me a reason why Tziolis, Maniatis, and the two youngster from Olympiakos got called, when there are couple players on Panionios that are in great form and were not called up.

So we have Glykos being called up for the game with Belgium. He actually stands a good chance of starting in the game.

Also, Cimirot was called by Bosnia for their Euro game against Gibraltar.

Additionaly, Koulouris, Deligiannidis and Lambrou have been called up for the two U21 friendlies against Hungary (at Toumba on March 22), and Poland on March 25.

Finally Sibanis was called up for the U19 NT for the Euro Elite qualifying tournament in Holland, where we will play Ukraine, Finland and Holland.

Prijovic's application to transfer his FIFA country eligibility to Serbia has come through, he's got the go-ahead to join their team. Awful luck with his injury, though.
