I never said it would be easy, but the way some of us talked at the beginning of the year we were considering making GS of Champions League. It’s our mindset that needs to change, the teams mindset. If we want to be a “big” team, we can’t be happy with just a group stage appearance in the third tier of European soccer. At some point the team has to over achieve. We got embarrassed this year, need a strong showing in Europe next season

Qualifying from GS shouldn’t be the goal, it should be the expectation. We can’t seriously consider us title contenders and UCL hopefuls if we set a goal at getting out of the GS at the conference league. Just my opinion

If we don’t get to at least the QF of this competition that would be a failure. If all the higher seeds win we would be the top seeded team in pot 2. We could easily be in pot 1 for the group stages .

Giannoulis is getting every game PT w/ Norwich so maybe he will go there. Also, TZOLIS, probably will be given the start. He’s one of the hottest Greek names now. He’s played in big games and I think that JVS values his speed and skill. Hopefully Fortounis plays AMC where he belongs and not wide. Up top is solidified Giakoumakis. Tzolis has been struggling lately, not sure if opponents are starting to figure him out, if he’s just in a little funk which happens, or if he’s already thinking of a big move.

I think we shouldn’t worry about other teams and worry about ourselves. There has been some results this season that never should happen. My thinking is that if we perform better than we’d be closer. Olympiakos has no reason to be nervous. They could lose their next 4 games and they’d still be at least 5 points up. If we were performing better and giving them a scare then I see them dropping points. Look at Aris. They’re performing as well. Just went into Athena and won 2-0. What has our record been against our rivals lately? I understand that they may get a call here or there, but do you remember at the beginning of the season when we seemed to be getting penalty kicks in the final 10 minutes of games? All I’m saying is this wouldn’t be an issue if we were winning games we were supposed to.

I’m tired of people bringing in Olympiakos to the conversation. Agreed with Boston, we can’t compete with them this year, they are far superior. Wouldn’t surprise me to be 20-25 points behind them at the end. That would be embarrassing. They’ve done everything right since our title while we have done almost everything wrong
