The team has fallen on hard times. There was a fan demonstration at the stadium yesterday and the roster is now composed of mostly youth players. Unsure about all the details though.

The problem with Atromitos is that they are typically full of loanees from year to year. This has really hurt the team in European tournament qualifiers when the team hasnt gelled yet and the players are probably of a lower quality. Imagine, guys like Warda and Koulouris who were crucial to last year's success if they were still on this squad.

Very bad loss today. Only good news is that OFI tied and Atromitos lost. IMO it's between these 3 teams for the last 2 playoff spots.

The point is that Lambrou is a young Greek who has the potential to improve and: 1. become one of those starters who will help lead to you to the CL groups or 2. be sold for a hefty fee Letting him rot on the bench will achieve neither of those goals.

Lamprou was a regular scorer in a league that's better than Greece's. It's a no brainer that he should be getting regular minutes.
