Benfica have stated that Vlachodimos and Samaris have been called up for international duty for Novembers matches.
-
Some great news Vlachodimos has been cleared to represent Greece and could be called up for the Ethniki in the two upcoming Nations League games vs Finland and Estonia.
-
I would like to see him combo up top with Donis I think they would work well together. He is our main and pretty much only goal scoring threat. Last game vs Finland he barely touched the ball because our mids could barely give him any service.
-
I think Mitro would benefit by getting out of Marseille he hardly gets any playing time anymore and did not play again today in a 3-0 loss to Montpellier.
-
The team is overachieving, a lot of pundits had them finishing in the bottom 5 of the table.
-
Also Siovas deserves a call up.
-
If the coach does omit those players stated than it will be a refreshing start for the NT. Hopefully the EPO can get Vlachodimos paperwork done and we start him in goal for the upcoming EURO qualifiers and bring in Gallanopoulos

FT PAO 0 AEK 0, Bouzoukis had best opportunity for PAO.

I just saw article that Greece are looking at proposal to co host 2030 World Cup with Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania. God that would be incredible if we won the bid!
-
They should, that was an ugly scene.
-
Olympiakos vs Panachaiki match currently suspended in the 52nd minute with Olympiakos leading 1-0. Game delayed due to smoke and chemical smell. Game will restart shortly. Crazy stuff.
-
According to Agona Sports the EPO are set to hire Angelos Basinas as the NT technical director. Things are starting to look up again.

Bravo Kostas!! -
Would love to see that.

Crazy stuff, the NT is missing a leader like Karagounis both on and of the field. I had a feeling we would see some rough patches once he retired after the 2014 World Cup but I never thought we would have seen this much drama both on and off the pitch over the last four years.
-
Yes will see, first Greek coach since Vasilis Daniil was at the helm from 1999 until 2001. Were not use to having permanent Greek coaches since the 90s which is odd.
-
^ Lets hope that's not the case, but with Grammenos and the other clowns at the EPO you never know what they will do to try and mess things up.
-
Tough loss for PAO at Toumba today. The team could not generate much offense and only had a couple of good chances one from Bouzoukis whos one time shot went over the bar.

Kostas Mitroglou ‒ (now playing for Aris)

He got subbed in the 85th minute he needs more playing time at Marseille. -
I would like to see Chatzigiovanis be given an opportunity at some point, he has really played well over the last year at PAO. He can take defenders on 1v 1 and make them look silly.
-
What an emphatic win for AEK today.
-
Hopefully this coach is tough with the players and the most in form players are selected for the upcoming matches in November. I wish him all the best and I hope he gets off to a great start with a couple of wins.

The players get part of the blame as well. The first game vs Romania Ranieri called up Mantalos a 2nd div player to make his international debut? in a Euro qualifier? and puts him in the starting 11, surely he could have selected someone else at the time and eased Mantalos into the team. Ranieri after the draw in Finland said the team would be much more focused and better vs North Ireland and pretty much guaranteed a win smiling and laughing with reporters but the team lost in pathetic fashion 0-2. Then came the worst loss in the ETHNIKI history at home to the Faroes with Ranieri looking totally lost during the game on the sidelines on how to make adjustments vs a bunch of fishermen. Ranieri gets a large part of the blame for these results just as Skibbe did with the most recent listless loss to Finland which ultimately costed him his job.
