  1. The idea would be that all other welfare type social programs like unemployment would be replaced by "mincome".
  2. Thoughts?? :) IS THE FIX FOR POVERTY AS SIMPLE AS A CHEQUE IN THE MAIL? Coming to an Ontario city near you: cheques for every resident as part of a "mincome" experiment to reduce income inequality Back in the 1970s, a pilot in Dauphin, Manitoba met with reasonable success. Recent months have seen mincome once again garnering attention from the feds. Justin Trudeau?s Liberals have resolved to develop and deploy a mincome experiment, potentially in Prince Edward Island. Calgary mayor Naheed Nenshi endorses the idea, as does Alberta?s finance minister, Joseph Ceci. A trial project would provide experimental data, but Toni Pickard, a mincome supporter and professor emeritus of law at Queen?s University, cautions that a pilot could stand in the way of progress. ?Pilots risk delaying implementation,? she says. She points to successful basic income initiatives in other countries, like Brazil?s Bolsa Fam?lia grant program, which supplements the incomes of families with children (provided kids attend school and get vaccinated). Brazil wants to universalize the grant, which has not only helped the poor, but the economy as a whole ? for every Brazilian real spent, the government receives a 178 per cent return. ?Our economy is supposed to be driven by demand,? says Regehr, but if people don?t have money to spend, their demand means little. ?That?s why a basic income has such a profound effect. You?re not just giving individuals or families a basic income ? you?re actually providing the basis of an economy.? https://nowtoronto.com/news/is-fix-for-poverty-as-simple-as-cheque-in-the-mail%3F/
  3. This is still a year or two away, and it will be on a trial basis. In most games I don't think it would be used more than once or twice. In a Greek derby it would be used at least every second minute :argue:
  4. Thats a fair point, but in his defence, he was one of the very few players we had that could be a threat with the ball, or take an opponent on and create some offence. It's players like him that we want to have the ball as opposed to a plumber like Maniati let's say.
  5. Its just posturing and pandering imo. There is no substance there. I know you won't agree but that is how I see it at this point, if things change I'll take some humble pie, edo eimaste.
  6. Anyone seen James Franco's new show? It's pretty good. Vinyl is another new show that just started with Scorcese and Jagger working on it! Also pretty entertaining.
  7. The fans will love him for it though.

  10. The whole country should not suffer because a few animals are sexually frustrated.
  11. It was not really that clear, first it's hard to tell whether or not Kapino makes contact with the ball, also Mak appears to have handled the ball at about the same time that the keeper makes contact with him.
  12. It's a shame, for the first time in a long time I was watching a Greek derby where some decent soccer was on display.
  13. Savvidi with his comments before the game did not help either.
  14. When club officials behave as shown above, it is no wonder the fans act the way they do. Greek "mangies".
