  1. Holebas shouldn't be in the black. He's been our best player in all the friendlys lately. People gotta stop questioning the guy and let him do his magic. He's much better than staf
  2. I think he's at a sweet spot. I don't think he can get a significantly better club personally. I think his potential would max out at like an ajax or mid-table german team Up top though I'd rate it 1. Mitroglou 2. Gekas 3. Karelis 4. Klaus Gekas is retired for NT tho but he's still our second best option imo.
  3. wraios. that's exactly where I want him for the NT. cf behind mitroglou.
  4. Anyone else love Holebas + tachtsidis combo in fifa? so good for one two one twos. a nice tachtsidis through ball up to holebas on the left maximizes his world class passing + pace. the NT should replicate this in real life to dominate that left flank lol
  5. on his game he can single handedly demolish teams. eg) Aek, Israel
  6. leicester epl win was super suspicious. I suspect match fixing and/or steroids. I think they'll finish around 8th this year
  7. england is solid. I too think they will do well world cup, perhaps a semi-final. dier, ali, kane are good players and barely 20.
  8. Brazil England Italy Spain Argentina France Germany Belgium (just this golden generation) Portugal (reluctant saying this cause we've had their number past decade) The above teams are the only teams that I think will pretty almost always be better than us. other than at, rank is up for grabs. with extremely efficient managing, we're a top 10 side.
  9. hmm he'd be cool to have on the left side with ibarbo on the right. last time pao won superleague was when we had counter-attack game via leto/cisse/govou. i think that's the main reason why pao has been better in europe. in europe greek teams will generally be weaker, so playing a counter-attack game is a humble way to beat opposition. whereas olympiakos plays like a championship team, but that's not gunna work as much vs. bigger heavy weights. he's a solid player tho, great pace, fk/crossing, almost double footed
  10. turkey would be good for a lot of greek players 1. they pay really well 2. same climate as greece 3. champions league level teams (queresma and nani won the euro while building form in turkey) 4. they don't like us, but they respect us cause they know our strength 5. i think greeks elevate their game against turks cause of the bad blood. eg) gekas lighting up the turkish league
  11. he should go to a lower tier serie a club or superleague udinese, olympiakos, hellas verona come to mind. also a position change to cdm might be appropriate because of fitness. he can't be running around up and down the pitch for 90 minutes like the engine he was 25 for olympiakos he's still very capable of brilliance, as we saw with assists to gervinho in europe.
  12. it's not completely hopeless. at the championship he's bound to play about 20 games or so. if he can impress, he most certainly can be a start in a premier league team. I hope he can prove me wrong, there's a high probability of him doing so. people said the same for bale, that he was arrogant for going to real madrid. let's hope for him it's confidence and not hubris. bale however, did have several great season for spurs.
  13. yeah I'd play the same players maggica just put them in position tho Karelis as CF behind Mitro a bit (basically the way Mitro plays with Jonas at Benfica) and Mantalos as RCAM and Fortounis as LCAM If kpaps is available I'd put him over Tachtsi and make it 3 cb's otherwise Tachtsi very few teams are better than us if we play our best players in position.
  14. I agree. Dude only had one good season with Iraklis. If it was feasable, he should've stayed there until he got a 15+ goal season. Then going to a big 4 club Paok, Pao, Aek, or Oly. I think he'd do best at AEK with the current roster. Berg, Klaus, N'diye are better. THEN abroad.
  15. yeah I was thinking the same thing. I think we should play something like that for everyone and then for belgium stack 3cb's there and 3 defensive mids samaris, maniatis, petsos. and just prey to panagia that fortouni and mr. mykonos can pull some magic lol
  16. it was a one off bad guy imo they were unlucky. oly shold've dominated though. cool that bouchalakis is getting the start. seems that their gunna let him play a big role this year. whenever a greek player has been a starter these past 5 years, they've developed great. eg) manolas, samaris, holebas, torosidis, fortounis, mitroglou
  17. boukalakis? he's barely played at oly though. If tachtsidis was in super league he'd start at every club
  18. My prediction Paok will win. Aek will lose in extra time.
  19. I don't think so. I don't think Torosidis and Holebas provide THAT much on defense to warrant being 'eaten alive'. Samaris can easily be a makeshift CB to patch up space.
  20. My dream Greek attack team right now lol Karelis Mitroglou Holebas Fortounis Fetfatzidis Tachtsidis Samaris Sokratis Kpaps Manolas Karnezis My arguements for Fetfa 1. he'll have fresh legs 2. saudi league is about equal to MLS 3. We need good wing play, we can't just remove that element from the game, that's like playing without a CB almost My arguements for Tachtsidis 1. he's a dud a lot of times, but his through balls can win a game 1/4 times, which is good enough for me not other CM option offers that, they offer mediocrity besides Samaris who is more of a defensive outlet and will come in hand to patch up space in the 3 cb formation I could be wrong cause I haven't watched a lot of him, but isn't Zeca basically the same kind of player as Samaris? A not as good Samaris?
  21. I honestly think we should start him. The saudi league is about equal to MLS right now in terms of competition and quality. he'd also be extremely fresh Him and Holebas on the wings? that would be glorious. Karelis Mitroglou Holebas Fortounis Fetfatzidis Tachtsidis Samaris Sokratis Kpaps Manolas Karnezis We'd be an offensive powerhouse and that'd be the most entertaining greek football we'd ever see
  22. it's funny how often teams will chase after a player after just playing against them once and seeing them perform well. I've seen this happen many times. it makes it seem like scouts aren't trying that hard lol
  23. I was thinking about the Mounares too lol. Top shelf. Russian league seems in another realm. When players go their the seem to dissapear eg) Karelis Nevetheless they have some quality clubs for sure, Zenit, CSKA Moscow Am I putting too much weight on climate? But I think Greek footballers would benefit from a Mediterranean climate over the Russian. hence why Greek players seem to do well in Italy and Portugal vs. Germany and England (also they are tougher leagues I concede)
