  1. come to think of it, tzioli did seem to be a hustler in the pao days but my memory is foggy on that one.
  2. lmao samaras vs kpaps is a classic. what was this over anyways? I miss sammy his thread finally kicked the can :P
  3. staf is winning me over. I remember in 2012 holebas was a huge liability and most of us weren't fans. he won us over world cup 2014 staf is also 22, and holebas is 32. so he can surpass him. not as devasting when you think about it. would've loved to see tachtsi thrugh balls to a bombing holebas on the left flank tho funny how the commentary is greek
  4. holebas is greek. his dad's name is achiles and imo he played hard for us and didn't appear to slack at all. I have cousins who are 3rd generation greeks and they are just as greek as anybody. him and mr. mykonos are regularly spotted at the beach bars lol he's our best lb by a long shot. staf and tzavella are the equivalent to skondras and kitsiou as a replacement for torosidis he's a no brainer to be our lb I really don't get it. and dude plays in epl we have been getting results without him though, perhaps he has been the cancer of the group? despite putting on sick performances, that could just be in spite of his not caring lol.
  5. mitroglou was decent. he helped cancel out their best defender which let our other players to come forward. without mitro, we might've not scored the other goals. he had a nice deak attempt that if a few inches went his way would've been a goal. also he was a key part of staf's goal. with the wall, confusing estonia because they thought he was gunna take the shot as well, and i think he helped draw the foul too. he played with a lot of passion too.
  6. I don't think he's gone for good. didn't skibbe use him at least once against luxenbourg? which he was one of our best players on the pitch
  7. holebas is more like 27 than 32 which his name suggests. I always wonder if it's because he started late so his body has less mileage?
  8. I don't really believe holebas is out. if that did actually happen, he's warm-blooded and will probably retract his position after reflection.
  9. We'd beat most other NT's with this line up. Mitroglou Fortounis Mantalos Tatchsi Samaris Holebas - Sokratis- K paps - Manolas - Torosidis Karnezis I think this lineup is the only we really have a shot of beating belgium.
  10. we've been blessed with Seitaridis and Torosidis. Doesn't seem like we have anyone of that quality coming up the ranks. I'd rather just play with 3 cb's sokratis as a makeshift rb than kitsiou or skondras
  11. we beat estonia basically without samaris, sokratis, torosidis, holebas and fourtonis almost half of our team! all of which should be starters and key players.
  12. hopefully we have a fully healthy side against bosnia and belgium. we'll need it.
  13. yeah I thought tachtsidis played very nicely lots of dangerous plays. mitroglou was cancelled out by their star centre back but he was really hustling out there.
  14. Karnezis was a stud out there. 2-3 great saves in the second half. Mantalos great at drawing fouls and a goal threat constantly (really reminds me of karagounis) Staf is winning me over and has great work ethic and nice goal with Mitro/Kpaps building a trick wall. manolas was pretty good imo. great play to his strength multiple times winning goal kicks. 9 points in 3 games I think we already beat our euro campaign points wise? :P
  15. I can only catch the france game atm. the stream links just give me a million pop ups and ask for credit cards any other tips?
  16. bosnia is looking really bad. hopefully we can thrash the wounded animal. manolas and pjanic had beef and I think Manolas is craving the chance to nulify him.
  17. not that I've heard of. Ranieri had an eye for talent picking him out from Aek in the 2nd division. Fetfa should be included. if clubless Tziolis and Maniatis can make the squad, might as well choose fetfa who's lighting up saudi arabia who by the way tied australia 2-2. SA isn't too shabby. one of the better asian sides, NT and club wise.
  18. misread your meaning then. I thought you were talking mere pace. but ya i'll still stand by my statement of speed of build up play is not the most important thing to get the W as we've proven this past decades. our strengths make up for this weakness I'm definitely not a soccer expert tho, but that's just my 2 cents and I think it's a good one regardless. mike loupnikis is slacking on the extended greek highlights. anyone got a good high quality link or source? I wouldn't mind watching the full game either.
  19. guys, even in our golden era greece was always slow. guys like holebas and salpingidis are the exception to the rule. as long as we get results that's all that matters. greece's strength lies more in actual 'strength', and technical ability. this is why a guy like cisse can come in and shred defense in superleague cause he has speed, whereas a guy like berbatov struggled more in the superleague. greece is essentially the strength of the epl and technical ability of italy (although obvious lesser tiers). we generally lack speed and work ethic ala germany and epl. speed isn't everything, otherwise ivory coast, and nigeria would have some world cup trophies already.
  20. fortounis deep would be a waste cause he has great finishing abilities and is a greater feeder for mitroglou tachtsidis is a great deep lying playmaker and that's his number 1 asset.
