yeah donis lazaros pelkas are all good on the wings fetfa will likely get back into the action and gianniotas is at aek now too
-
an idea if mitroglou and karelis aren't available is we could also play false 9 as we have the players for it fortounis donis/laz mantalos pelkas kourbelis zeca staf sok manolas bakakis barkas
-
boucha seemed decent exept that final pass where we had momentum and could've scored... zeca is better though for sure lazaros was going down too easy. I'd rather us just fight through things and stay up and try to make a chance rather than get screwed by a ref not calling things and trying to milk the foul. Look at Holebas vs. Spurs. He got clipped and almost fell but regained balance and crossed it for a goal. More than a few of those with Tzavellas/Lazaros. mitroglou looked more confident in 1st game than 2nd. mitroglou of first game probably would have got a goal or two this game. pelkas was unreal. winning a header inside our box and then running full sprint upfield with a breakaway. him donis/zeca will be unreal engines for us making the field look like a basketball court. Sucks we lost but I enjoyed this game and I think we can still take this group. Hungary was playing like we were the better team because we are. They just got the better of us. Like another user said 8 times outta 10 we play like this we would win.

donis is great as a winger but not potent enough to be a single striker. he's so damn fast and won a few balls pure from his speed. him and pelkas on the wings will be lethal. fortounis middle mitro up top we're solid. then kourbelis zeca cm back four pretty ncie too if we have staf sok man bakakis. I like this side. hopefully can all stay healthy. is it this common to always be msising players? it seems we never have a full powered squad
-
we don't have any high quality finishers except mitro out there. our midfield looks fantastic though passing wise. with a healthy mitro up top we'll be a pretty nice side. i'm like the boucha kourbelis combo. though scoreline sucks I like what i'm seeing overall. and think we can still get a draw or win next half
-
this starting lineup is so good. I don't find donis up top to be nearly as potent but lazaros/fortounis/donis/pelkas all together i think can pickup the slack without mitro and we have mitro on the bench too so maybe he isn't totally out or keep him fresh for next game since I don't think the knock is too severe

tzavellas is a warrior for greece. if staf is in for sure start him over him or if holebas is still in the picture but tzavellas is not the problem imo. tzavellas marked mertens out for the majority of the 180 mins in the belgium series and got us that vital point vs. bosnia. main problem was not starting in form players and skibbe is learning because kourbelis addition. and negative substitutions at times (still to learn but I actually am gaining faith in him).

probably injured. apparently signed to PAOK though now. Prijo is on fire though for them so will be hard to win the starting spot. Would've rather have him back at PAO Karelis does some things even better than Mitro. Volleys, speed, positioning might be better at those. -

kourbelis and bakakis are my favourite new ones that will hopefully become part of the 11. last campaign I liked donis and retsos. next we need a new striker and we're pretty solid. not sold on Koulouris and don't think he's our future. -

I think toro should keep his starting position next game cuz he was a beast out there. sub in bakakis in the 60th as he tires. I think by the end of this season we'll have a new good striker. maybe manos or vergos. shame karelis isn't back as he's our only other striker I'd feel comfortable having up top. Donis is great but as a single striker he doesn't give me as much confidence and much rather have him as a supporting role or winger. I think our NT has a curse where it takes players forever to play at their club level. I recall lotsa strikers struggling to perform till about 20-30 caps. Mitro for sure was one of these and I think salps/samaras/gekas/charisteas were like this as well. Bakasetas can be a decent cf but hasn't found his legs yet for the NT. he also has never given a full game from what I recall in his natural position which I think is more a cam/cf between. -
was this posted today? Last I checked Skibbz said he'd be good for the game? Think it might be a slight of hand? (I doubt it but you never know Skibbe did surprise me with Kourbelis, Lyko and Pelkas starting). I think he might be actually improving as a coach.

that's mad. the only changes I would make would be zeca for boucha and donis for mantalos.

pelkas brings speed/hustle that fortounis doesn't. fortounis brings technical skill. mantalos is a similar player to fortounis but when both are in form i'd give the edge to fortounis. it should be pelkas fortounis lazaros up top based on current form. fortounis and laz work well together at oly too. -

pretty sure he made a terrible pass and then sokratis saved our asses from it. tziolis also made that nice pass to fortounis tho -

kourbelis is a beast. such great passing and cutting opposition passing lanes too. him and zeca cm combo will be fantastic. i thought sokratis and manolas looked great as usual saving our asses. torosidis was great offensively a bit shaky defensively. I think he shoulve' got subbed 60 for bakakis as he was starting to tire. fortounis was beast but got a bit selfish after mitroglou was off. you can tell he doesn't like passing to pelkas haha lykogiannis was shaky at first but grew solid as the game went on. barkas was solid. grabbing so many crosses mid air. bouchalakis not as bad as I thought. I didn't like the subs = bakasetas / koulouris / tziolis should've been = lazaros / bakakis / donis
