yeah I think even thessaloniki. Athens has become very left wing and a lot of Greeks don't want to be known as supporting Greece and being patriotic because they're scared of being labelled fascist. Rest of Greece I don't think gives a hoot.

I think we look good. not happy with wings selections but if the inches went our way it could've been 2 or 3-0. Sokratis post and Torosidis header slightly above across bar. first 10 minuets we were shaky but we looked the better team the other 40 mins siovas looks good he has decent vision and long ball skills. glad he's on the side. manolas is a loss because he's proven to be a big aerial threat. I think siovas manolas and sokratis should all be starting given the option because our defense does give them a little too much space sometimes an extra cb might fix this. lazaros and donis on the wings would be lethal with fetfa as super sub as you will. squad selection isn't that much different but siovas and odysseas additions are positive. torosidis still has it but he'll be gassed for sure by 60th so probably gotta sub him. not sure who the 3rd sub should be.

what if we beat finland 3-0 and win our last game too and finland loses their other game? we go through right? highly unliked but curious you never know!

I'd imagine from the selections he'll do this mitro koulouris fortounis koutris zeca mantalos /pelka bakakis siovas sokratis manolas vlachodimos bakakis and koutris are gunna have to run for days. which they're capable of doing I suppose but they're also not that great so would have been better if we had full backs plus wingers to share the duty. defensively we'll be more robust in da middle

kolouris honestly is proving to be a great striker in superleague. he might have the edge of karelis right now. scored against aek in 2-0 win and atromitos are top of the table. if the snap shot he shot against finland went in would've been insanely good goal. only missed by inches. strikers instinct. he has potential to be as good as mitro 8goals in 9 games

he just scored a game winner for watford. he's in the form of his life this season.

we need wingers badly and we leave out in form lazaros and fetfa? *face palm* especially that left flank. I prefer tsimikas over koutris but he's need under 21 so fair enough. holebas would've been nice.

mitro worked well with a second striker jonas at cf I think. they typically played double striker. he hasn't been half bad at marseille. marseille should maybe start germain and him same time. mitroglou and donis up top together would be good but then we'd have to trim defense or midfield tough choices / injuries are always an issue.

mitroglou scored a goal vs. psg to make it 1-1 but it was dissalowed over a bogus foul were a psg player basically ran into strootman and strootman was called for a foul it came off of a payet free kick. then a shot and mitroglou snapped up the rebound

Samaras was key for our midfield woes because he was a quasi LM/St and therefore could create something from nothing. He had flashes of world class brilliance. Now that Manchester City is an elite club his Resume looks even more impressive haha

this was a good move by epo. new coach has 2 experimental nations league games in a way to get ready for euro qualifiers. pressure is slightly off.

they might actually just be good this year. eg) iceland that was decent but historically is not. maybe they have a slight golden generation. Lod was very good at pao and their defense was quite solid and organized too. wouldn't put it past them.

la mendel I agree with all you said aside from pelkas not hustling. he hustles and is an engine. he has bad decision making for NT in final third. he seems to assist prijovic a lot but he's not doing the same for mitro. two times mitro seemed open and he chose to take inaccurate shots. seeming more concerned opening his NT scoring bank account than actually winning the game. I remember again when we tied croatia the last game where he skies the shot as everyone sings the national anthem. 3 times he did it now. I admit I was wrong bout pelkas cutting it as a winger. donis/lazaros/fetfa it is and if gianniotas/manthatis get form they should too
