toro seems to always turn it up for the NT. we give him s%$#! but when he was at his peak he was a beast. -

lmao torosidis is EVERYWHERE out there he turned into a cf forward to end the half with a header hahah kourbelis looks great. mantalos a bit invisible. laz would been an option. fortounis is great out there. winning tackles. setting up plays and the finish. -

mantalos is in better form than donis I think. donis only started half the games so far and the games he did were losses I believe. whereas mantalos is captain and key player for AEKS hearty run into the CL. our right side is gunna be super slow though that's for sure. zeca can pick up some of that slack tho -

pelkas is fine as a LM and had some his best games there. mantalos as RM is questionable though he does play there often for AEK under harder opposition than estonia but it's not the solution long-term. -

pretty solid lineup by skibbe mitroglou pelkas fortounis mantalos zeca kourbelis lyko manolas sokratis toro barkas would rather lazaros and bakakis on the right but not terrible and at least in form players! (besides toro) -

only team I fear from that would be Serbia. They have so much quality. Also smoked us 2-0 last friendly we met. man would be so good to have holebas right now. might be the most in form greek player at the moment. lazaros, fortounis also in good form mitroglou in okay form. so I think we'll get the win tomorrow. -

pelkas might be in even better form than donis though hmm -
so wait is bakakis in the squad or nah? could really use him on the right flank with lazaros they do some pretty nifty overlapping runs.

skibbe hat on I think he'll do something like this mitroglou donis fortounis lazaros tziolis zeca tzavellas sokratis manolas torosidis karnezis hopefully enough to see us through but will be tight when tziolis, tzavellas, torosidis are kinda dead weight nowdayz experience + active squad participation at least... -
skibbe too attached to torosidis and samaris

we actually don't have many super fast players. tasos donis, manthatis, deligiannidis (not skilled technically), manolas are pretty fast not world class but our speediest. we have a lot of above average speed players tho like bakakis, pelkas, karelis, limnios holebas still fast and when he was younger was insanely fast.
-
his master plan is probably to do kolovetsios as lb as he's left footed.
-
tsimikas looks great
-
I agree he isn't that bad. Only questionable thing is Tziolis. Leaving Holebas out due to beef over 'club-mentality' over form. And Tziolara but we basically did as good was we realistically were supposed to do 2nd to Belgium and losing to a better Croatia side that was a world cup finalist. Not sure if any other coach would have done better given our opponents. He's also not stupid by integrating Donis and Retsos and looks like he's doing that with Bakakis now. His hesitations with Fetfa also makes even more sense now as Fetfa is still not a starter yet with Olympiakos even. Even Rehhagel and Santos had players that on paper were some of our best on paper but were bad for the dressing room. Eg) Zikos, Georgatos
-
Who else could we get? Only person comes to mind is Ouzanidis but he's already got a job at AEK
-
shoul've gone to pao. we need a striker. paos squad is pretty complete just missing a striker since berg left left a hole
-
pasxalakis was very poor vs. benfica today. poor decision making to give away first pen and ate 4 goals. vlacho hasnt had any true challenges yet. after today i'm feeling Barkas but Karnezis like we mentioned above hasn't done anything to warrant losing his spot
-
was watching an interview with Manolas and the owner of Roma and Manolas has ambitions of becoming captain of Roma. I think Totti made a big impression on him. Wouldn't be surprised if he stays there for a long time. Learning the fluent Italian is another sign too.

only a few more days till nations league kickoff for the patrida. sept 8th! I'd do this right now mitroglou pelkas fortounis lazaros mantalos zeca ??? sokratis manolas bakakis karnezis why i like this line up zeca mantalos = hard working duo. lazaros/bakakis have good chem on the right hand side and are both in form pelkas/fortounis = very good form subs if chasing a goal karelis for mitro donis for pelkas fetfa for lazaros or fortounis only position i'm not sure of is LB right now. Holebas is no brainer but that's not gunna happen. Stafylidis next in line is injurd. Retsos i injured. Tzavellas's team just got pumped by Galatasaray 6-0. Tsimikas looks good but unproven. Since imo the rest of the lineup above seems fairly established I'd take a shot on Tsimikas. Skibbe will probably put Tzavellas or Torosidis which I don't hate the notion either I just hate more that Holebas one of the most in form Greek players atm is not starting. We don't and shouldn't have the luxury of leaving players of his quality out of the line up. karnezis auto starting spot is also in question as a bunch of greek keepers are looking great. imo pasxalakis is the best greek keeper right now but karnezis hasn't done enough to lose his starting spot and I don't think we boot people out too easily or we'll have another Ranieri scenario. If Karnezis has one bad game for the NT though, he has to lose his spot now.
