  1. actually besides Manolas all of our starting 11 is in form and we have Siovas to patch it up who's in form. So slightly optimistic
  2. mitroglou donis fortounis masouras zeca samaris koutris siovas sokratis bakakis odyesseas would be the best lineup samaris is back in form and playing regularly for benfica (on top of the league and in europa )
  3. sokratis and mavropanos fun quiz game for arsenal tv
  4. Ninis Holebas and Vlacho are actually Greek ethnically though. But yeah i'm all for nabbing them now in case they get good. has there ever been a player that missed out really though? only one I can think of is Castillo but we actually tried to get him and he chose Mexico then dissapeared to oblivion. If he just stuck to what he knows Greece/Olympiakos would've been a legend i think. switching clubs is always a risky move. vrousaii is vrousaii consistently starting and playing don't really follow that league? our best and most in form wingers right now are Donis and Masouras from what I've followed. 3rd string Chatzigiovannis unless I'm forgetting someone. It was Fetfa until he went to Aris and Lazaros till the injury though. Paying attention to form is important. there's a greek player on vrousaii as well pavlidis that I don't know how good he is but is putting same numbers as Vrousaii about 8 games and 3 goals
  5. Bakakis isn't much worse then Tsimikas or Koutris and he was a key player for AEKs title run. Torosidis is still okay for one more compaign. Obviously these guys aren't ideal but Bakakis/Torosidis are our best options at RB at the moment. Retsos if fit and in form is up there too. Bakakis has some pace and doesn't tire easily and he puts in massive effort both defensively and offensively. Toro gets gassed by 60 but still is a decent crosser + not terrible defensively.
  6. Mitroglou Donis Fortounis Masouras Gala Kourbelis Koutris Sok Man Torosidis Vlacho I'd do something like this if we had to a play a game this Sunday.
  7. clean sheet tonight
  8. turks going wild. mitros first goal was 94th minute game winner for gala
  9. good point. want to add that list that Donis is a difference maker but dude is injured half our games. kpaps was like that too but he's been massing so long. also stafylidis. besides cm and wing problem. we'vd had injury problems.
  10. Slightly sobering but I think we don't have the players good enough to qualify unless we get a lot of luck favoured on our side. Our wings and cm are simply not good enough for the modern game. We're 'okay'. Best Greek players right now are Manolas, Sokratis, Holebas, Fortounis, Vlachodimos 5 decent players is not enough for knock out round tourny football. We will simply be 'competitive' in qualifeirs. The euro 2004 team was much better and Greek league was much better too. AEK/PAO/OLY were all competitive in champions league. This is first time I'm saying this as I'm often more optimistic for qualifying. Italy/Bosnia/Finland will all give us troubles.
  11. Oly played much better second half but yeah missed a finisher. Fortounis subbed off was a mistake because he could have made something out of that free kick that Tsimikas took The game was more lost in Karaiskakis. Dynamo are experts at shutting things down in freezing cold Kiev.
  12. Laz I think had a really bad injury so is out. We need Masouras or Chatzigiovannis to step it up for NT to fill a wing spot with Donis. I'm sure at least one of them can do it. Fetfa was playing so good for Olympiakos I don't get why no team lets him complete a season. He was key in defeating Milan in europa
  13. I think Lazaros, Torosidis, Koutris should've started. Tsimikas I love but defensively Koutris is more sound and the away goals are going to hurt Oly. WTF did they let fetfa go. They literally started him in the game where they beat Milan
  14. It's going to be cold as s%$#! in Kiev. Last time vs. AEK is was 1-1 and then 0-0 in Kiev. Let's hope Olympiakos will have better luck. Dynamo seems very good at holding a favourable result. Olympiakos showed great spirit vs. Milan though when they needed to win so let's hope the same can be done. Really looking forward to this one. The more dangerous attempts were from Olympiakos. Dynamo was lucky imo. Fortounis inches from making it 2-0. Podence dodging the goalie and again inches wide. Masouras also could've gotten a penalty on the last call where he was shoved down in the penalty box. I predict 0-0 in Kiev 40%, 1-1 30% or 1-0 Olympiakos Win 20%.
  15. short highlights from our boy loupnikis
  16. Masouras could've got a pen he was shoved to the ground.. anyone got highlights? hard to come by and my stream sucked so missed a lot
  17. they were really good at parking the bus vs. AEK will be tough to crack. looking forward to it though
  18. tsimikas great blocking to make the ball a goal kick. i love this kid
  19. he was very good in 2014. was our best player during world cup until he got injured
  20. If a player is good enough to start for Olympiakos, he's good enough for the NT imo.
  21. Mitroglou Donis Fortounis Masouras Kourbelis Gala Koutris Sok Man Bakakis Vlacho would probably be okay Chatzigiovannis impact sub. Lazaros is good though if he's in bad terms with coach could suck though but Lazaros is a quasi winger striker and we need people who can pop a goal up top. Masouras is a younger version though who can transcend Lazaros. I think Mas will be fine. He's proven himself in GSL
  22. chatzigiovannis and masouras look interesting options. youth is pretty big for wing positions. donis auto starter when healthy of course don't get why fetfa went to aris. he was playing well for oly. maybe he just likes to bide his energy during practice and turns off coaches or something
  23. Benfica was his sweet spot. Team/league. Turkish league is a bit more competitive then Greek league. So it's a good move. I predict he'll destroy the Turkish League.
  24. Mitroglou Donis Fortounis Lazaros/Fetfa Zeca Kourbelis Koutris Sokr Man Toro/Bakakis Vlacho the / I think is where the sub should be made. Lazaros is insane form still but gets gassed so then put in fetfa and bakakis to replenish the wings. Samaris and Galanopoulos also possibiliies at CM I like Tsimikas a lot too but Koutris is more stable defensively. Unless we played with 3atb with wingbacks then I'd want tsimikas because like to adventure deep into the attacking thirds and a really good crosser
  25. ^ couldn't have said it better myself. He was a monster at Olympiakos & Benfica. Everyone is second guessing him at Marseille (even worse at Fulham). You gotta have faith in your striker.
