  1. I would not trust anything the clown Raptopoulos and his puppet Kokkinos are saying. The others (Kolkas/Tzorbatzoglou, etc.) will twist the truth to fit their agenda.
  2. Who said that? Kolkas or Raptopoulos? No wonder this team will never go forward.
  3. Kakos will take the position that was held by Pantelis Konstantinidis, which was General Team Manager. Lino and Contreras signed up as scouter a while back.
  4. Yes, Tziolis was the CB along with Malezas, and I have to say that they did a decent job. It was Skondras that cost us the game. Tudor really did not have many option for CB's as he decided to sit out Costa due to all complaints about him. On top of that Vitor is injured. This really shows that Arnesen made a huge mistake not getting any CB's during the transfers in the summer. Hopefully Leovac and Konstantinidis can get healthy enough, so we don't have to rely on Skondras again. We also miss Kace in midfield.
  5. Anytime you score 3 goals in a game, you should not be losing or tying the game. Very poor defense once again. Skondras shares blame on 2 of the 3 goals. If Arnesen does not get defensive help in January it will be a major mistake. Way too many points dropped because of poor defense. I can think of at least 7 points.
  6. 2 shots, 2 goals. Bad defending as usual. Glykos should have had the firt one. The team needs to get serious.
  7. Latest call ups for upcoming games: SENIOR NT: Tzavellas, Tziolis, Pelkas, Athanasiadis, Kitsiou (friendly games against Luxembourg and Turkey) SWEDEN NT: Olsen (2016 Euro playoff game) U21 NT: Konstantinidis, Charis plus loaned players Giannoulis, Pouggouras (U21 Euro qualifying games against Liechtenstein and Hungary)
  8. I am basing that on the following: - The players will have more time to gel as a team. - Some important players will overcome their injuries (players like Cimirot, Berbatov, Leovac) and will be able to help the team. - The schedule should be lighter without Europe - And finally I believe that in January we will get 2 to 3 players to plug in some of the weak spot on the team. The only thing that worries me is that we play all the big derbies away, but as long as we do well against the so called "easy" teams, those results will not affect us that much. And any positive results in those games will be a bonus.
  9. Sometimes I just don't understand the organized fans and their decisions. They decided that in protest to governments plans to introduce a fan ID cards they will abstain from attending Sunday's game against Panthrakikos. All they do is punish the team and not the government officials. Their priorities are completely screwed up.
  10. PAOK's European fate was basically decided in the away game at Qabala and the home game with Krasnodar. If we had won those games we would have qualified. Another factor in my opinion was the early start in our European campaign. That pretty much prevented us from having any substantial pre-season preparation. That's why the team has ups and downs. I am pretty sure that we will have a solid 2nd half of the season. the main thing is to be ready for the playoffs and possible Greek Cup run. The main goal of our European campaign was accomplished (Group Stage). All we have to do now get a win against Qabala and steal a tie in Dortmund in order to get some cash from UEFA and to add some points to our coefficient. This is important since our good season from 2010 will no longer count in the standings.
  11. Also I think it was a mistake by Tudor to experiment with a new formation in this game. Should have saved it for Panthrakikos on Sunday.
  12. 2:1 final score. Dismal game by PAOK. I expected much better. We were never in the game. The Round of 32 is now a dream. The minimum European goal for this season was accomplished, which was the group stage. Let's at least hope we have a good games against Gabala and Dortmund, and get some cash for winning and or/tying those games.
  13. Klaus coming in for Golasa
  14. Penalty for Krasnodar after they hit the post.
  15. Tudor needs to throw in somebody that can create stuff on offense. I would put in Pelkas. Move Rodrigues on the right side, Mak on the left and Klaus on top.
  16. I agree. I just don't see us scoring with the current setup. Tudor needs to revamp the whole midfield/offense if we want to get a result today.
  17. Difficult save by Glykos. We are toothless offensively.
  18. Rodrigues needs to be slapped by Tudor for his selfishness.
  19. Game will be streamed live on Laola1.TV
  20. Not sure. It's a separate deal for Australia.
  21. ESPN acquires US media rights to Euro 2020, qualifiers and much-anticipated Nations League ? ESPN has acquired the US media rights to Euro 2020 and its qualifiers, the UEFA Nations League and the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, sources have confirmed to World Soccer Talk. ESPN outbid FOX Sports, NBC Sports and beIN SPORTS for the rights in a deal that is worth more than $110 million, according to Sports Business Daily. World Soccer Talk also understands that there was an unnamed fifth bidder that was not a traditional TV network. What makes the acquisition by ESPN of the UEFA properties even more attractive is the inclusion of the Nations League, which is a brand-new competition from UEFA. The concept of the UEFA Nations League is to take the games that were previously friendlies played during international breaks, and turn them into competitive matches. The participating 54 European nations will be split into four divisions: Division A: Four groups of 3 teams Division B: Four groups of 3 teams Division C: Two groups of 3 teams and 2 groups of 4 teams Division D: Four groups of 4 teams The national teams will be ranked according to their UEFA coefficient ranking and slotted into the appropriate groups. The nations will play each other in a round robin format until the final four teams will be determined. Those final four will then compete in a mini-tournament to decide who will win the UEFA Nations League. The UEFA Nations League will be held every 2 years. So soccer fans will be able to enjoy World Cup 2018, followed by the Nations League that?ll begin in 2018 and end in 2019, Euro 2020, followed by the Nations League beginning in 2020 and ending in 2021 and finishing up with World Cup 2022 in Qatar. The concept of turning what was previously considered rather meaningless friendlies into competitive matches, as well as incorporating promotion and relegation between the different groups, is genius. ESPN currently has the US media rights to Euro 2016 as well as European qualifying matches for the competition (which FOX Sports sub-licensed a portion of). According to Sports Business Daily, ESPN currently pays $16M for both English and Spanish rights to the two European Championships. Note that today?s news has nothing to do with the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League. Those rights are currently held by FOX Sports in the United States. 22. Vitor has been ruled out for tomorrow, so will have to contend with the Costa/Malezas duo as CBs.
  23. Boston's lineup is good, but as others said I don't think Kitsiou will start. Golasa might get the start as he has been quite good the last two games. I also have reservations about Mak being our lone striker. That's why I had a 4-4-2 formation. We'll see on Thursday. Of interest is also the fact that he is not taking Antonis to Russia. I would have to think that Sunday's game against Panthrakikos might be his last chance to get playing time.
