  1. Basically PAOK has secured a playoff spot. There is a very slight chance that they will not finish in top 5, and the only way for that to happen all these scenarios must come true: - PAOK must not win their appeal and the point deduction remains at 5 points - PAOK loses to Platanias on Sunday - PAS Giannina defeats Xanthi - Atromitos wins their appeal and gets the 3 points back - Atromitos defeats Panionios If all these things happen, there will be a 3-way tie between PAOK, PAS and Atromitos, and PAS finishes in 5th place. Keep also in mind that a team that finishes in 6th place will also get into the playoffs if Panionios fails to receive the license to play.
  2. Situation is not 100% clear due to several appeals concerning point deductions. STANDINGS AFTER ROUND 29 4. Panionios - 44 5. PAOK - 42 (assuming -5 point deduction) ----------------------- 6. PAS Giannina 39 7. Platanias 38 8. Tripoli 38 9. Atromitos 36 (assuming -3 point deduction) ROUND 30 Xanthi - PAS Giannina Platanias - PAOK Panionios - Atromitos Tripoli - Veroia If the playoff started today, the initial standings would be: 1. AEK 2 (assuming PAOK -5 and AEK -3 point deductions) 2. PAO 2 3. Panionios 0 (assuming they win their appeal to receive license from EPO to play) 4. PAOK 0

  4. Palataki looks full for the game. Great atmosphere. http://www.laola1.tv/en-int/livestream/2016-04-11-paok-thessaloniki-olympiacos-piraeus-len
  5. - I don't think they will kick us out. There are already backdoor deals being made between EPO/Government/Teams. - Not sure, but could be a good start to tackle the problems facing Greek football. - Just like with Greek politics, as long as the laws are not strictly and fairly enforced the chance of internal reforms working are minimal.
  6. Possible lineups: ----------------- Vellidis ---------------- Kitsiou - Vitor - Tzavellas - Leovac ---------- Tziolis ------- Kace -------- Rodrigues --- Pelkas --- Korovesis ------------------- Mak ----------------- or ----------------- Vellidis ---------------- Kitsiou - Vitor - Tzavellas - Leovac Kace - Cimitot - Tziolis - Charisis ---- Rodrigues -------- Mak ---------
  7. Panionios did not receive a license today from the EPO licensing committee. They have two chances to appeal this decision, and they claim that there will be no problem. However if that decision stands, Panionios will not be able to take part in the playoffs. On the other hand PAS Giannina received a license, which will make their game against Platanias that more interesting. I see Tripoli sneaking in into the playoffs at the last minute.
  8. That was a big win today. Now the series will shift to Thessaloniki, where we just need one win to eliminate them.
  9. Apparently Lubos Michel (PAOK TD and President) is attending today's Europa league game between Bragga and Shakhtar Donetsk. Incidently Fernando Santos is also scouting the game and the two will probably meet to discuss the coaching job at PAOK. At least that's what all the conspiracy theorists on Thessaloniki media claim.
  10. So they assign a ref from Tripoli to call this game. Wonder which team(s) is interested in a PAOK loss (tie). Slowly the injured players are returning to the team. The only missing players from this game are Berbatov, Mystakidis, Konstantinidis and Jairo due to injuries, and Klaus due to cards.
  11. That is the difference between a real soccer league and the banana republic Superleague. I remember when he left PAOK the first thing the German team did was put him on a strict diet and training regiment before he could even play his first game for them.
  12. Actually next game is tomorrow in Piraeus. Hopefully we can win and win the series on Monday at Palataki. I expect it will be full. After all we are playing Olympiakos. It appears Laola1.TV has all the games live.
  13. Good for him and Wolfsburg. I've been following the Wolfsburg games on Fox Sports most of the season and he has been playing that position for at least 1 season now.
  14. Won the first game in the best of 5 series 3:1 (25;19, 20:25, 26:24, 25:20) With this win PAOK takes the home advantage from Olympiakos.
  15. All the jerseys that PAOK wore through out the history:
  16. Considering the designs have been done by casual fans, some of them are not so bad..
  17. Thanks for the link. I just hope we don't self destruct like we did in the two previous games with Olympiakos this season.
  18. Tomorrow, EPO will hear two appeals concerning PAOK. PAOK has filed an appeal concerning the punishment for the Olympiakos cup game. The hope is that the 5 point deduction becomes only 3 points. Considering that for similar fan violence, Panathinaikos and AEK received only 3 points deduction. There is a chance that the initial 5 point deduction is cut to 3 points. The second appeal was filed by an EPO prosecutor against the original EPO decision to give PAOK 2 game ban for flares being lit in the PAOK cup games against Kalloni and Panionios. Since no other team was punished for the same issue this season, the prosecutor found it necessary to re-visit this decision. There is a good chance that the 2 game ban will be overturned. We should know the results of these appeals no later than this coming Friday.
  19. Here is the full text of the FIFA letter to EPO and Kontoni: http://www.epo.gr/media/files/FIFA_UEFA/FIFA_letter_ENG_5-4-2016.pdf
  20. Sure he does, but the fact that nobody has heard from him since 1996 strikes me quite strange. There are more qualified past PAOK presidents that sport-fm could have asked their opinion concerning the matter, but I guess they would not like their answers that they would like to propagate.
  21. Where did they find this guy? Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one. He should stick to running his day camps for kids.
  22. Mak, Cimirot and Chatziisaias will be available for this game.
  23. PAE PAOK has a poll on their web site to chose a t-shirt design commemorating the 90 years of PAOK. There are 10 designs to chose from. You can cast your vote here: http://www.paokfc.gr/nea/20160404-psifise-to-kalutero-sxedio-tou-design-your-paok-90-years-t-shirt-poll/ I voted for # 7
  24. So all those reports were not true?
