Voskakis, one of the worst refs in Greece has been picked to officiate this game.
-
There is always an appeal process. I don't think they cut Mak's punishment, but the fan punishment should be overturned. Don't forget Olympiakos was punished for one game for a lighter that hit Koulibali in the Platanias game, but later during appeal that punishment was overturned. Mak will be back for the last two games in regular season and the playoffs. That's if he decides to continue playing in Greece.

Most none game post have been moved to OtherTeams/leagues topic. Keep this game related only.
-
Reports are that 13 million Euro in bets have been placed on an Olympiakos win in yesterday's game on Asian betting sites. Some are saying that this is the reason why the ref decided to resume the game after interrupting it. If the game is abandoned, then all the bets are off.

Also Kontonis said that if similar incidents happen in a Superleague game, than he will cancel that competition as well. i still think a ban from European competitions would be the quickest way to clean up Greek soccer.
-
Kontonis did not go far enough. He needs to do a Thatcher and ban Greek teams from Europe for some time. Then you will see the miracle of all teams coming together and fixing the problems in Greek soccer.
-
It's official. PAOK will not travel to Piraeus to play the return match. On top of that the minister of Sports stopped the second semifinal game from taking place and also announced the cancellation of this season's Greek Cup. Also during the PAE PAOK announcement by Lubos Michel that PAOK will not play the second game, the PAOK president also told reporters that Robert Mak has told PAOK people that he does not want to continue playing in Greece anymore. Since he will be punished somewhere between 4-6 games for his red card, he probably won't play any more games for the team anyway.
-
That's because nobody gives a s%$#! about having a good clean league. As long as the cash from CL is flowing in, there is no incentive to fix things. Olympakos does not want to change things. EPO and the government are controlled by Olympiakos, so they don't have any power to change things either. The whole thing is a reflection of Greece as a country. Corrupt state = corrupt soccer. Simple as that.
-
The propaganda machine is already in full swing changing the focus on other things (leftists, anarchists, and the ultimate stereotype of bad PAOK), instead of pinpointing the real cause of the problem, which is the corrupted state of the Greek soccer and the result of the disenfranchised fans, who can't stand the double standards anymore. As usual nothing will get done to stop this. Olympiakos is happy for things to stay the same, as long as they make it to the CL every year.

Savvidis said that PAOK will not play the return game in Karaiskaki unless today's game is replayed with a foreign referee. I wish he goes ahead with this, just to expose the hypocrisy in Greek soccer. If he does not want to pay the fine (around 50K) and -3 points from the next championship, than he should just send the U-17 team to play.
-
I think today we just lost our chance to play in the playoffs.
-
Yes, the fans that caused the violence should be blamed for this, however all this could have been avoided if the penalty was given.
-
Basically we just screwed ourselves including our chances in the playoffs.
-
Looks like few token fans were apprehended. They need to be punished severely.
-
Unfortunately fans made it unto the field. The game is over and severe punishment is coming.
-
If I was PAOK I would not come back on the field. This travesty has to stop sometimes.
-
Looks like the game will be finished.
-
It is most likely abandoned because it was already interrupted once. We are looking at a punishment similar to what Panathinaikos received.
-
The ref F***ed the whole game. Now flares are thrown on the field. The game is interrupted and we are looking at severe punishment.
-
And now he gives a red to Mak.
-
Wow. Clear penalty given to PAOK.
-
PAOK fans are chanting "penalty, penalty" towards Pappas.
-
We are looking at another game with no fans. Looks like our last two home games will be in empty Toumba. PAOK as a team and organization completely fell apart after we scored the leading goal.
-
Leovac at fault on both Olympiakos goals.
-
1:2 now. We were falling apart defensively since the start of second half.
