In the first half PAOK was very pathetic, and we should consider ourselves lucky that Panionios did not score. Chatziisaias had a great first half.
The two changes Tudor made in the 2nd half stabilized the team and it prevented the opponent from creating dangerous situations. We even created couple attempts on goal.
Apparently Klaus was subbed at half-time due to injury, and is another candidate to join the list of injured players.
-
Well if they are let them get knocked out in the semis by AEK and make the final wide open.
Tomorrow EPO will decide when the draw will be held. My prediction for semifinal matchups are:
PAOK - AEK
Olympiakos - Atromitos
-
I don't see us winning this game. Don't know who will score for us, and Pontoii are playing their biggest game of the season. That is the only game they are looking forward to all season.
-
I don't want Olympiakos in the semis. The system will not let tem get knocked out of the cup again by PAOK as last time. Save them for the final, where it is one match and anything can happen.
Atromitos is a good draw, followed by AEK.
BTW the cup loser does not go to any European competition. Only the cup winner goes to Europa League group stage.
-
0:0 final. On to the semifinal.
-
Finally a scoring chance by pelkas.
-
Kace is coming in for Tziolis and Golasa in for Klaus.
-
The Berbatov/Klaus on the field at the same time experiment does not work. should be quite obvious to Tudor by now. Take one of them out. Put in Kace for god's sake. Pelkas is non-existent. Take him out on put in Golasa.
if it wasn't for Chatiisaia, we would be trailing by now.
Panionios scores, I don't think we can come back. Our only hope is a 0:0 tie.
-
Pathetic first half
-
The way we are playing if we managed to hold on to the scoreless tie it will be an achievement.
-
Lucky not to be down 1:0 right now.
-
So far he has been excellent. Clears out anything Panionios brings into the box.
We have serious problems transitioning from midfield to offense.

Laola is on

Well the one surprise I expected happened. Panathinaikos was knocked out of the cup by Atromitos. Hopefully PAOK can overcome Panionios and make it to the semifinals.
PAOK - Panionios ---, 1:1
Asteras - Olympiakos 1:1, 0:5
Iraklis - AEK 0:1, 1:4
Atromitos - Panathinaikos 1:0, 0:0

Looks like Tudor will use the same lineup as in the game with Olympiakos. The only difference will be Skondras as LB in lace of Tzavellas.
-
Mak will sit this one out due to cards. We will basically have no offense in this game. Only Klaus and Berbatov. Hopefully Mystakidis will be ok to play.
-
Anybody got the anniversary jersey yet? It apparently comes in a box with a commemorative book. I just hope they don't do anything so stupid as to place a Sportingbet logo on the front.

In the 25th minute the PAOK goaltender Progios was injured and could not continue. Under the rules then, a goalie sub was not allowed, so the defender Raptopoulos (father of the Metropolis radio host) had to step into the goaltender position.

Except for Tzavellas, who is serving his red card ban. I expect Skondras to play as LB. If Kitsiou can overcome the stomach flu, he will play as RB.
-
Out of the 3 only Konstantinidis worthy staying with PAOK, but unfortunately he is mostly injured.
-
Under the circumstances we played a good game, even though it looked bleak after they scored. Cimirot and Chatziisias our best players. Everybody else just average.
Officiating as usual in an Olympiakos game just laughable.
We have a more important game on Thursday.

They might not even be in European competition when the semis will take place. And even if they manage to get past Anderlecht, let somebody else (AEK would be a good choice) knock them out in the semis. That's why I think they will get Atromitos in the draw, so they can breeze to the final.
