  1. PAOK's men's volleyball team is currently involved in the Final Four of the Greek Volleyball Championship. In the semifinal stage we are playing Panathinaikos, and after 4 games the series is tied 2:2. The final game of the series will be played in Thessaloniki and the winner will got to the final, where they will face the winner of the Olympiakos - Syros semifinal.

BTW PAOK volleyball is this years Greek Cup winner, when they defeated Olympiakos in the final.

  2. Besides Football PAOK is involved in other sports as well. Let's discuss those sports in this thread.

PAOK participates in the following sports:

    Boxing

    Chess

    Cycling

    Figure Skating

    Football

    Handball

    Ice Hockey

    Swimming

    Swimming, Technical

    Tae Kwon Do

    Track & Field

    Volleyball

    Water polo

    Weightlifting

    Wrestling

The web site of Amateur PAOK is http://acpaok.gr/ , but it rarely gets updated.

  3. OlaPAOK.gr reports that PAOK was checking out the following players:

Mayron George (OFI - 21 years old)) - Forward

Paul Keita (Kalloni - 22) - Defensive Midfielder

    Juanma (Kalloni - 24) - Forward

Nicolas Martinez (Panaitolikos - 27) - Attacking Midfielder

    Alfredo Mejia (Panthrakikos - 25) - Midfielder

    Luka Milunovic (Platanias - 22) - Forward

Banana Yaya (Platanias - 23) - Center Back

    Theodoros Vasilakakis (Xanthi - 26) - Midfielder

Ignacio Fideleff (Ergotelis - 25) - Center Back

  4. Georgiadis, being an interim manager, will hopefully not have that much of a say in Papagiannopoulos' staying.

Would not be surprised if he ends up as our coach for next season. Specially if he has a good run in the playoffs. Would have happened last season, but the cup final debacle ruined his chances.

  5. I doubt we will see HD broadcasts of Sport Plus, Antenna Satellite, or any other Greek channel broadcasting in US for that matter. The stations might decide to go HD, but in the case of US, I doubt if Dishnetwor will provide bandwidth to such fringe channels on their platform. It's more likely the channels end up on their IPTV platform instead of giving them HD bandwidth.

  6. pash, the other day I heard somebody saying that Georgiadis does not like Papagiannopoulos, because he was brought into the team by Aggelos. Don't know how true that is. It could just be bs from anti-Anastasiadis media (Kolkas and co.), but good enough to make the above list.

I would like Lucas back at PAOK, but only if he wants to be back. The other question is if Martens is coming back?

  7. Let's get the list going:

    COMING

    Giorgi Loria - OFI (goaltender)

    Georgios Manousos - Kalloni (forward)\

    Stefano Napoleoni - Atromitos (forward)

    Dimitris Hatziisaia - Panionios (defensder)

    Georgios Galitsios - Lockeren (defender)

Brana Ilic - PAS Giannina (forward)

Nikos Korovesis - PAS Giannina (left back) - allegedly already signed by PAOK

Charis Charisis - PAS Giannina (midfielder) - allegedly already signed by PAOK

    LEAVING

    Nikos Spyropoulos   (already gone)

Theofanis Tzandaris  (already gone and practicing with Panionios)

    Georgios Katsikas  (already gone)

    Sotiris Papagiannopoulos

  10. Starting this topic to discuss anything related to one of the NHL original 6, the mighty Chicago Blackhawks.

The 2014-2015 season is over and the playoffs start this Wednesday. Blackhawks will play the Nashville Predators. The team finished the season on a weak note, having serious problems scoring goals. If it stays like that in the playoffs, I don't see us going far.

At least Crawford has been solid in goal.

To understand how serious this scoring drought has been, Patrick Kane is being forced to join the team way ahead of his projected return after his serious injury.

    Go Hawks.

  11. I am baaaaack!

After some tough and lengthy negotiation process I was persuaded to come back to these old stamping grounds. B)

Glad to see some old friends as well as some of the recent acquaintances in one place. Let's get this show going.
