Someone on Instagram posted that we signed Spanish 2nd division player Casas. Eventually that Instagram post used Greek press reports that PAOK is after the player, which means that it was just stupid rumor.
Instead of Hatzidiakos and Fountas, I would rather have players from our academies joining our 'A' team.
-
Well here in the US the problem was that for the two channels (Antenna Satellite and Sport Plus) the satellite providers (Dishnetwork) were using SD (Standard Definition) instead of HD (High Definition). Since the beginning of this year Dishnetwork stopped distributing the Greek channels via their satellites (and SD) and instead they are now feeding those signals via streaming which resulted in a much better signal.

I think either one will be ok for the European Team competition. I would go with Zaltos.
What is extraordinary is the fact that so far this season we have 9 hammer throwers over 70 meters (and 5 over 75 meters), something unheard of in the past.
-
PAOK and Pavlenka agreed to a 2-year deal, which will be officially announced when the keeper returns to Thessaloniki to start the pre-season training. This basically means that Kotarski is history.
Taison turned down our 500K (+ bonuses) offer for one more season. Let's see if we will make him a better offer.
-
Still no TV contract for the next season's Superleague games. Savvidis said that if we don't receive a contract that is close to the ones that AEK and Panathinaikos get, he will award the rights to the PAOK home games to OPEN TV.

3:2 away win in a friendly game against Serbia with the winning goal being score in the last minute of the game.

I think we paid around 3 mil for Despodov. I guess we just want to break even. I would keep him, but I think he wants more playing time, which he will not get with Zivkovic on the team.
-
Metrosport is the biggest enemy of PAOK in Thessaloniki, specially now that we decided not to use the Makedonikos stadium for the 'B' team games (Andronis: owner of Makedonikos and Metrosport). They employ some of the worst anti-PAOK reporters. I also like how they conveniently forget to mention any expenses that a club like PAOK might have.

Well it would be good if we drop to Conference league from the playoff round of EL, which would mean we will play in the League Phase of Conference League. However our no. 1 goal is to make the League Phase of EL.

Expect a lot of rumors for young players from Spanish lower division teams now that the ex-Real Madrid scouter has joined PAOK.
-
We are very close to announcing Pavlenka for 2 years at 600K per year.
Also, the offer to Taylor is for 3-year contract at 800K per year. If the player agrees, he could be announced early next week.
Another rumor is that we offered Taison a contract for 500K with reduced playing time as compared to previous seasons.
-
You are talking about our no. 1 keeper for the next season ...

And we now have a rumor with the name of the left back that we are allegedly after:
Greg Taylor (Celtic Glasgow)

Now that the coaching situation has been resolved (if there ever was one), let the rumors resume:
- Tanzanian press is reporting that Samatta is negotiating with PAOK for a new contract
- Despodov claiming that he has 2 years left in his contract, but anything can change in 24 hours
- Otto is pretty much history
- we are close to sign a left back as a Baba backup
- Galatasaray is after Kotarski, but have not talked to PAOK about it yet.

On Saturday at 17:00 EEST the U19 team plays Olympiakos in the final of the U19 Superleague Cup. The game will be played in Iraklio, Crete.

I was listening to some of the "sources" on radio today, and they are now claiming that the first meeting went very well and they were in agreement on the plans for next season. Apparently the big shouting match happened last Thursday during the second meeting, where Lucescu was criticized by Savvidis concerning the dismal results of last season. They claim that Lucescu was offended and all talks were frozen and the team is in a waiting mode until the coaching issue is resolved. At the end the same "sources" predict that Lucescu's fate is 50/50, so at the end they can claim that either way they predicted the outcome.
-
And none of these articles contain any actual information on what is going on. It's all speculation and guesses and that's what makes the PAOK World turn around every Summer.
-
Which basically means that we need to win two qualifying rounds to reach the League Phase of Europa League, or win one qualifying round to reach the League Phase of Conference League.

The PAOK ladies finish the season with a 1:0 win against Kastoria.
The team finished in 5th place with 12 wins, 7 ties and 3 losses.
Hopefully next season will be better.

Mantzouranis decided not be part of the team for the European Team competition. Zaltos is thinking of doing the same, so in the end it might either Anastasakis or Frantzeskakis that will represent Greece in the competition.
