  2. Panionios did not receive a license today from the EPO licensing committee. They have two chances to appeal this decision, and they claim that there will be no problem. However if that decision stands, Panionios will not be able to take part in the playoffs. On the other hand PAS Giannina received a license, which will make their game against Platanias that more interesting. I see Tripoli sneaking in into the playoffs at the last minute.

  3. Apparently Lubos Michel (PAOK TD and President) is attending today's Europa league game between Bragga and Shakhtar Donetsk. Incidently Fernando Santos is also scouting the game and the two will probably meet to discuss the coaching job at PAOK. At least that's what all the conspiracy theorists on Thessaloniki media claim.

  4. So they assign a ref from Tripoli to call this game. Wonder which team(s) is interested in a PAOK loss (tie).

Slowly the injured players are returning to the team. The only missing players from this game are Berbatov, Mystakidis, Konstantinidis and Jairo due to injuries, and Klaus due to cards.

  5. He's done very well for himself.  He's looks in great physical shape too.  Too bad when he played for us he was always on the tubby side.

That is the difference between a real soccer league and the banana republic Superleague. I remember when he left PAOK the first thing the German team did was put him on a strict diet and training regiment before he could even play his first game for them.

  6. Actually next game is tomorrow in Piraeus. Hopefully we can win and win the series on Monday at Palataki. I expect it will be full. After all we are playing Olympiakos.

It appears Laola1.TV has all the games live.

  7. Tomorrow, EPO will hear two appeals concerning PAOK.

PAOK has filed an appeal concerning the punishment for the Olympiakos cup game. The hope is that the 5 point deduction becomes only 3 points. Considering that for similar fan violence, Panathinaikos and AEK received only 3 points deduction. There is a chance that the initial 5 point deduction is cut to 3 points.

The second appeal was filed by an EPO prosecutor against the original EPO decision to give PAOK 2 game ban for flares being lit in the PAOK cup games against Kalloni and Panionios. Since no other team was punished for the same issue this season, the prosecutor found it necessary to re-visit this decision. There is a good chance that the 2 game ban will be overturned.

We should know the results of these appeals no later than this coming Friday.

  8. Sure he does, but the fact that nobody has heard from him since 1996 strikes me quite strange. There are more qualified past PAOK presidents that sport-fm could have asked their opinion concerning the matter, but I guess they would not like their answers that they would like to propagate.

  9. AEK and Atromitos both received a 3 point deduction from the standing along with fan ban and monetary fines for the crowd trouble during their game, which also included a stabbing among other things. I guess if you try to kill someone, you also get a two point discount.

  10. the lack of an experienced player that would step in and take the team on his shoulders is quite evident this season. There is no one that would take this leadership role. You would think Klaus would be one of those guys, but he is more interested in getting a new tattoo and party with his girlfriend in some Athens night club.
